What is the common cause of poverty?

For me there are a lot of factors that cause poverty and one of them is corruption. The rich gets richer, but the poor gets poorer. It's a common notion that's why not every state/country in this world is free from poverty. Another factor would be laziness, in this generation there are a lot of ways to earn money and you just have to do something about it instead of sulking about it. Freeing the country from poverty isn't something that swiftly happens, but if everyone worked together and corrective actions are done then slowly it will be diminished.

unemployment and the corruption of the government, because in every family should have 1 or more that is working, and poverty is also a problem because the government corrupts, the money for the people is in their pockets and make them rich. that is why poverty is an issue in every country.

Unemployment is the main cause of poverty and hunger. Every time the price of all products are increasing. But the job opportunities are not growing in comparison to that. Illiteracy is the other cause for this. War and violence is also responsible. Political unrest, corruption of government, over population are also responsible. Poverty has many causes and reasons differ from each other. There are variety of stories onto what is the causation behind poverty. But I do believe that the origin of poverty is a result of our wrong decisions in life. What we are thinking and how do we decide is the basis of how we will act. If we choose to stay in that uncertainty, then we will stay in that uncertainty. If we do not believe that we can get out from that difficulty, then we will not get put from that difficulty. What we choose is who we are going to be. What we decide is where we are going to. As to what they say, "to be born poor is not a sin, dying poor is." Indeed, I believe in that.

Honestly it's because of population why people dying because of hunger.Many people but less opportunity to take a job,this is the common reason why a lot of crimes spreads to fight from hunger and many innocent victims will suffered and died.

The corruption I think is the main root of the problems of the most poor country's because even if other countries give aid, for example financial aid. If the government officials don't use it right it will be in vain.

There are so many reasons, I think they already have mentioned it. But I do believe that the most probable cause would be due to the imbalance of wealth. When others are becoming so rich, others are also becoming poorer. The wealthy may all have the resources they needed while the poor are struggling to get one because the wealth already had it on their hands. Like when a farmer had to work on the farm that the wealthy already owns. It will be impossible to own the lot and grow something on it that the farmer can consider his own because he only works for the wealthy owner. So he becomes dependent.

Then, lazy habits on how to improve lifestyle and lack of support by his/hers  family and the government.

I think a strong cause of poverty is the climate people are living in. In areas of the world with a mild climate  people are way richer than in areas with a very hot climate. This is probably because of agriculture and people's energy (you get easier exhausted in a hot environment).

With the climate changes huge areas in the northern of Russia will become areas where people can live well and agriculture will be profitable there. People will migrate some day because of that...

I think the culture of a society is a major cause of poverty. Culture has influence on the state of mind of humans and and spontaneously prevents them from aspiring for greater things in life. For instance, years back in some parts of Africa women where meant to be in the kitchen only. I think the most common causes of poverty is It’s due to corruption in government, lack of education, overpopulation, peace and order problem, and the high cost of common goods manipulated by rich people.
