People scam because of poverty, or even wealthy people do scam because of the obsession of money, they take advantage to other people in illegal ways for  they are desparately want to get money that satisfy them.

There can be no excuse for scamming, stealing and robbing, if you are poor and starve to death you are the only one to blame. Billions of people work hard, study, build plans for the future and tighten their belts during hard times, their situation is no different from those who choose the criminal life. If you will start whitewashing and glorifying stealing, you will end up with cleptocratic and corrupt society that only becomes poorer because economy just can't work in such environment.

People don't feel and are not obligated to feel any empathy towards the strangers - everyone should be responsible for their own life and not look for a way to throw their burdens onto others. Pets on the other hand are chosen companions and they bring happiness to their owners, so it's natural that people can spend huge amounts of money on them.

yeah .. there is so many people spend their money for a little things that gives happiness for a short of time. thats why so many people do bad thing just to earn money in a simple way like hacking and scamming. scamming is the easiest way to earn money and scammer is not easy to catch.

I don't agree with you that scammers scam because of lack of job or no one to help. The same resources you and I are using legitimately to earn are the same the scammer uses. The same knowledge he uses and the same time he puts in scam can be used judiciously to earn decent income. A scammer is not helpless as your narrative suggests.

The underlying economic difference is that people are reluctant to give money to the poor because they see the level of one's wealth, but it is not wrong to help a hungry person just by giving money. But if we give them automatic money they will be lazy to find a decent job

Poverty is the main cause of scamming and extortion. There are other personal reasons, like greed and being not contented leads people to such an act of evilness. But, we are leaving in a society where we are bounded by laws that forbids such actuation. In addition to what you said, most of the people get scammed due to their greed. It is easy to fool a person who is focusing on just one thing and that is making money. I have lived a few years of my life and understood a very basic human instinct and a world saying being true. "There's no free Lunch". No one in this world is really there to help you out for free. Even if they do help you out for free there will always be an expectation in their minds where they want you to help them back in one way or the other. Its really sad but humans are really made like this. So what's the best thing you can do for someone is getting them a job or a source of living. Trust me if you feed him once he will remember you once but if you get him a job he will remember you everytime he gets his supper.

Yeah it will not be free but I think even then they will scam because people have greedy nature and this nature will not change with small effort. Scammers may have some issue like if they are having financial problems, having some kind of desperation to certain things.
