Devs are staking with premine  If thats the case, I cant blame them, however probably shouldnt have said they wouldnt lol. But when you have a [proportionally]large premine, with POS possbilities, why wouldnt you use it to earn a bigger dev fund. More dev fund means better features implemented This is what was posted on Discord on the 15th of October in the #announcement channel: ANNOUNCEMENT - We have started testing the masternodes, all MN rewards will be airdropped to the community / wallets who help with tests
- Official pool has 0% fee until further notice
- Any rewards from those tests are airdropped every Sunday, alongside the pool rewards.
Testing will take between 24-48 hours, we need as much hashrate as possible pointed to the official pool. You guys will see That PoS difficulty will increase because of this but we need to make sure the found blocks are not getting orphaned with PMN activated! Please join discord to get the latest information |

It is to ensure anonymous transactions I believe, quite a few wallets have a feature similar to this. Nice to have the option. I don't know the technical details though. |

Nice to see the roadmap published today, hope to see the whitepaper soon, so far so good, although I don't really understand what the bank connection is or how it works, and what the Luxcore payment hub will be but awaiting that whitepaper to find out |

PrivateSend is the feature that gives LUX users full privacy when they use it. It is an improved and extended version of the CoinJoin. In addition to the core concept of CoinJoin, we employ a series of improvements such as decentralization, strong anonymity by using a chaining approach, denominations and passive ahead-of-time mixing. By having a decentralized mixing service within the currency we gain the ability to keep the currency itself perfectly fungible. At the same time, any user is able to act as an auditor to guarantee the financial integrity of the public ledger without compromising others privacy. PrivateSend uses the fact that a transaction can be formed by multiple parties and made out to multiple parties to merge funds together in a way where they can’t be uncoupled thereafter. Given that all PrivateSend transactions are setup for users to pay themselves, the system is highly secure against theft and users coins always remain safe. Currently to mix using PrivateSend requires at least 3 participants. To improve the privacy of the system as a whole we propose using common denominations of 0.1 LUX, 1 LUX, 10 LUX and 100 LUX. In each mixing session, all users should submit the same denominations as inputs and outputs. In addition to denominations, fees should be removed from the transactions and charged in bulk in separate, sporadic unlinkable transactions. PrivateSend is limited to 1000 LUX per session and requires multiple sessions to thoroughly anonymize significant amounts of money. To make the user experience easy and make timing attacks very difficult, PrivateSend runs in a passive mode. At set intervals, a user’s client will request to join with other clients via a masternode. Upon entry into the MN, a queue object is propagated throughout the network detailing the denominations the user is looking to anonymize, but no information that can be used to identify the user. Each PrivateSend session can be thought of as an independent event increasing the anonymity of user’s funds. However each session is limited to three clients, so an observer has a one in three chance of being able to follow a transaction. To increase the quality of anonymity provided, a chaining approach is employed, which funds are sent through multiple MNs, one after another. Fee is 1.49 LUX. |

Any pool and miner from your side for this in the works ? there is interest ... we are looking into it as we finish the build of the new pool servers - then migrate the existing pools to the new servers ... when this is done - we will have a much closer look at this and a few other coins ... #crysx |
