Is Master Degree Important?

I don't think that having a Master's degree is that important. In my company, we have a few guys with master's degree. And their salary is not much higher than mine, although they have 2 years of education more than me.

Masters degree is not important for me  but nowadays some of company is required to have a masters degree . but for me its not a basist if you a degree holder .all i need is knowledge and skill.

For some reasons, i guess it is needed, some companies set it as a requirements like in school, if your job is a teacher/professor it is highly needed. But in office jobs like my job it is not a requirement.

A wise man once said education is the key out of mental slavery, having a Master degree is an important achievement in that it liberate one out of mental slavery. It is more important in order to performe well in your job that is why many company require it for they employment.

All true qualifications are important. Why just talk about a masters degree? What is a master's degree in higher education but doctoral degree? PhD higher than masters. Do not just be too masters. Sometimes degrees do not speak of a person's ability to work. Because the degree of false, knowledge is not real.

Yes it is very important,once person got all professional and academic qualification ,current world people get to qualified for master degree,all top possition of the companies in sri lanka hava a master degree..its vital qualification in current world

It depends on what path you're going to take or what position you are applying for. There are some positions that requires a masters degree, some do not.

Master degree is very very important for both academic and professional qualifications.It Promote academic excellence in various institution of studies, and help the educational sector to build on high intellectual impact on the part of the Teachers, tutors, lecturers...etc to pupils in primary schools, students in secondary  and tertiary institutions.The level of degree in academic qualifications  does not stop at the masters level, some institution even require for doctorate degree in relevant fields of studies. Also Professional qualification also enhance quick promotion in company, and placement to relevant positions for candidates that merit such distinguish positions.

I don't think you need a masters, because you can still find job even if you're just a high school graduate, even those who didn't even finish elementary school. But if you want a job that will bring you to the top, a job that you can be proud of, a job for leaders, maybe I suggest you take your masters degree. It will help you a lot.

Because I have a master's degree and my salary is not much higher than that of my colleagues, who does not have it. And the worst part is that I wasted two years of my life pursuing the master's degree, while my colleagues were enjoying their jobs and earning decent salaries.

Of course it is. As you said many companies require their employees to have a master degree or else they would be fired. Like professors in the universities, they are required to finish their masters degree. And it is also a way to make your salary bigger.
