There are many good exchanges, for example Bittrex. But that would buy a crypto currency, it seems to me very well firts Coinex exchange. There is no verification required to trade, which is very convenient. I think this is the best exchange for beginners.
This is if you buy altcoins on a crypto exchange. But you can also buy altcoins directly by participating in the ICO. Although, if you look now, when you release a token to the exchange, it becomes several times cheaper than the price of the ICO.

I know, it's probably a silly question, but can you have some safety when trading altcoins? How to know it's not a pump, but an actually traded coin?

I think to be able to buy some altcoins at least you need money for your trading capital and you can do it by buying altcoins at the place of exchange using the capital that you have today. To trade, I think you must first lookfluctuations in various coin charts.you think the movement is fast, you can choose it. Because rapid fluctuations in movement will also be beneficial.

To buy altcoin then the first thing that you have to have bitcoin or eth, then you can buy on the exchange such as yobit, huobi, poloniex. But it also depends on your country, as I see, the United States and Japan are the two countries with the most exchange.

Although, if you look now, when you release a token to the exchange, it becomes several times cheaper than the price of the ICO. if you take advantage of when there is an ICO process to buy a new altcoin maybe that is a very risky way because I often come across tokens created by the ICO that have a marketing strategy using the bounty campaign usually the token when it is registered at the exchange place experiencing a price decline because there will definitely be many bounty campaign participants selling that have been earned, therefore I suggest avoiding buying a new altcoin from ICO, you better look for it at the exchange place and make sure you have the capital at the exchange place to buy atlcoin .

True, most usually this is the case. I faced the similar problem; of having several accounts at different platforms and transferring between them, just to get hold of my altcoin (from fiat currency). So, I started working on a project last year and we just released our P2P platform, with focus on supporting trade between a wide range of cryptos with any fiat and any payment method. It's similar to localbitcoins, but will support many different cryptos. Feel free to have a look at coinected.io - Currently we have no fees, as we just started.

You must have an exchange, if you don't have a list, make a deposit first, there you can choose what you want. and also don't forget before buying, see first the price goes up or down.

To buy Altocoin you need to purchase key encryption currencies such as BTC or ETH.
For that, it is necessary to have an account at the exchange. 1. To find information on Altocoin you want to buy 2. To know where on that exchange the coin can be bought This is important.
However, having many exchanges will lead to confusion

If you want to become a trader, you must first learn how to analyze the market, coin, chart, etc. You can use GOOGLE or YOUTUBE, there are lots of videos with clear and easy examples. Finally follow up and pick out the coin you feel safe and invest

You can buy altcoin from huobi, poloniex or binance. It depends on which coin you intend to buy. But the first thing you must have is Bitcoin or ethereum, then you can use the trading platform to buy altcoin.

Just read through the whole replies, I guess you must be satisfied by the responds you have gotten from forum users and also since post was done in 2017 you are no longer a newbie (although your rank says so) and must have known how to trade/buy altcoin. Kindly lock topic to prevent spammers from using this thread to earn post count for their bounty participation.

In order to buy any altcoin you need to understand on what exchange you can do it. To do this, use the website https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets for example, BTC and select exchange and currency pair. I recommend choosing an exchange with a large trading volume.
