Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

people who bought bitcoin at a low price bears a higher risk than what we do now and they deserve this, if we cant bear the risk to buy low price coin which already lied on our face, we should not complain about it in the future

I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?

Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!

Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!

Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?

My frustration is BIG.

Dude, i uope you realize that you are only late when you start to think so. Do not let yourself discourage your own. Sure, they have greater advantage than us because we knew and never did anything back then, but that doesn't mean we are failures. It is just a matter of perseverance and mentality. Even a small fraction of what they have is what we may manage to get, it can be bigger in the future. And if that still isn't enough for you, then go and be more resourceful and persevere more to reach the thousands from hundreds that you may achive.

We are the same and i do not ket anything bring me down. Remember that you lose on the very first moment you give up. So don't make that mistake.
Exactly I only got into bitcoin 1 year ago and I’m already seeing the benefits of holding bitcoin, can you imagine the benefits I’m going to get if I keep holding for many years? I will probably be able to become rich, not ultra rich but rich enough to not worry about money anymore.

Yeah, this community is definitely going to have more latecomers than people who have been here since the beginning who made it big. Now, I see you're posting in the altcoin board, so that means that you're probably investing in more than just bitcoin. This is our chance! We just have to find the coins that are cheap at the beginning, with projects we truly believe in, that will be big someday. It's difficult and most of us won't make it but the lucky few who have the good intuition the hodl the successful coins are the ones who end up on top. So just keep at it and one day my friend we will all be there.

I don't think you're late. You only need enough research to catch up. You'll make a good profit if you work enough.

It's very hard to say where in the cycle we are with crypto. You could still be very early, or this could be a bubble that bursts tomorrow. Nobody really knows.

You can definitely see the dump in prices for bitcoin after the hard fork that is going to happen on 14th November. There is reason that will make the price go dump, and that panic nature of many of the investors. This is simple math, people will get the free coins whichever it may be after split occurs and they will then start feeling that other will dump the bitcoin as there is no way it will hold that much lone, then everyone will get it done altogether leading to dropped prices. So I’m happy that fork is happening as after each fork there is opportunity created by it to invest more money into bitcoin. So stay tuned until that and see how new party comes in front of you.

My frustration is BIG.

According to your logic, you should regret everything at all!  Grin For example, why did not I put on Real Madrid at the beginning of last season?!  Grin Or why did not I earn while playing poker, while still playing for fun?!  Grin Or why did not I buy Gazprom shares at the company's founding stage?!  Grin and so on...
I think we need to rejoice that now there is a crypto currency market, and it is clearly on the whole upswing (now a small decline, but any market plays like waves)! Many, like me, predict that the main coins will only go up with time!
After a couple of years I do not rule out such a variant of your letter if you do nothing: "I saw the etherium for $ 300, and now it costs $ 3000! Sos! I need a time machine ..." Grin

i think everybody will also feel the same to you, but it is not too late to buy bitcoin now, bitcoin is predicted to rise more and more in future so you should buy bitcoin as soon as possible before it rise again, if you does it now you will earn profit in the future.

No, and probably is better to invest to a really good ICO. If you invest to a good ICO you will get the profit you lost from BTC and ETH

No, you are not late for the party, in the party there is always need of fresh money so that the early birds can dump their stakes for a lot of money on bagholders. Jokes apart, given the recent bull run, I'd wait for a major correction to buy in, I would not buy at the peak. I already did it once in 2014.
