<snip>
Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off! <snip>

I think you should spend a few minutes and check your mindset.  Why do you care what others have?  So what if someone else bought Bitcoin for $1 and now has thousands of them; that doesn't affect your life in any way.  Keep in mind that those with huge wallets of BTC and/or ETH bought it when everyone was telling them it was a fad and they were throwing their money away.  They took a huge risk and deserve every coin they have.

Don't compare your success to those around you, but instead ask yourself what should you learn from this and change your behaviors.  Bitcoin is only expensive now if you think this is the highest it'll ever go; if you think it can reach five digit numbers then this is still a cheap price.
You can't always be in a state of regret, absolutely. I also bought 200usd/1 bitcoins. Do I regret it? Yes, I regret why I didn't buy more. But that's not going to work. Now, I spend a sixth of my salary, invest in bitcoin regularly every month, regardless of price fluctuations, and so far, my earnings have been pretty good. I think that's the right thing to do.

I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive

Whenever you join, you are of course later than everybody else who has already joined. This is why you feel late - it's just relative to the existing community. I felt late when I joined back in April. Now, I don't feel late.
In a few months' time, you'll be able to say that you joined back in 2017 Smiley

In short, if you join before mainstream adoption is complete then no, you're not late at all.
Welcome aboard Smiley

It seems to me that to know you are late to the party or not, you need to understand why you need the coins. If you wanted to quickly flip coins and make money you must also be late. But if you need coins for the future you can start at any time. The price will rise and you will gain later.

For me there is no late to invest in crypto currency if you have still enough money just invest it now because i know that bitcoin will increase its valur before this year end, and you already regret on not investing earlyier make sure you invest right now and not regret for the second time around.

I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?

Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!

Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!

Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?

My frustration is BIG.

you are too late to join into the party but i think its better to late than never because if you invest right now, you still have a chance to make profit in long term. we are in bitcoin industry is not just buy and sell in short term but we are also doing this for our future and no matter how much the price, i think we can do it in anytime we want. but i think you can let your past be your past and you still have your own future and maybe your future is starting by right now.

No, you are not late and it is never late to join party. Look around this forum, there are always new projects popping out, if you have some coding skills you can create something nice. Also people just started to use crypto and i would say party has just begun and it will last for very very long time.

You are not late to the party, you've come at a good time. Crypto is going mainstream and this is just the beginning of huge movements. Extremely interesting stuff to come and dive right in to. First we had simple cryptocurrency for exchange of value and now is the time of decentralized communities, marketplaces & more. Welcome

I agree. There were never be too late here.
What matters now is you're in the track now and use this opportunity to start and grow here.
And yeah there's always have a new ICO that comes here so make the most out of it and just wait for the coins to get dump so you can buy them and have at least a good profit.

You are right even if you start late in investing it does not means that you will not earn a profit just be careful where to put your invesment and only invest on which you think you will gain a profit. With proper knowledge or proper research will lessen your doubt about your investment. Just don't be hesitant and always have a double thought if you are going to invest or not.

You've shown up to a party on a Saturday night at 10:30pm, sure everyone is tipsy and had a few drinks already, but there's plenty of time to grab a drink and enjoy the rest of the night.

It doesn't matter if coins are $5 already, if they go to $50 within 1-2 years, that's 10x. Just be smart and be patient.

I believe the investors today are still considered as the second stage early adopters even when BTC is at a new high. Of course you don't buy when it's high, you buy low and sell high so I suggest waiting for the market correction but even then nobody can correctly predict as the price movement is very volatile due to whale manipulations. It can be that by the time you realize that it's at the lowest end of the correction, the boat has already passed so nothing is actually too late in that sense.

you can't be late Wink you can always get into some new projects that are just awesome, and you can also get into some old projects (eth or btc) but you kinda have to invest a bit more
Bitcoin is the investment that can make people a whole lot of money though some people are not buying it for some reason. Are they scared to make money?

Sorry, but I think you're too late for THIS stage of the party, 2012-2017, this was the era when people could turn 1k USD into +1 mil USD from smart buying. The market was small enough to follow all the major contenders,  and a person of average inteligence could spot good prospects, and buy cheap coins for a few hundred $, and free airdrops like NEM and decred made people loads of free money they could then use to invest more. IMO that era is over now, and more average people will lose money than make it. The big boys are in town now, and many coins will fail now. That doesn't mean you can't turn 1k into 10k, but never again will jo sixpack turn 1k into 1 mil, not unless he joins a pump group, or gets really lucky.

Sorry bro, I missed the party too, but sloppy seconds might still make you x10 on your money, but you might lose it all on an ICO scam and/or hacks. The golden era for small time guys making x1000 returns has ended, crypto is mainstream now.
