can you please post information here regarding mining anoncoin on new algo. the information is a bit scarse as of now.

Will do.  Here is some info:

• The algorithm changed to an ASIC resistant one in June 2018:  double GOST R 34.11-2012 hashing algorithm
• There is an anomaly with the mining difficulty number - it works (and mining is consistent), but the difficulty value is different than expected.  As a result, mining pools are not functional.  This is being addressed now, and I will post back here next week with progress.
• You can use GPU mining with ANC.  People have had success with ccminer and sgminer.  Grab the miners on Gostcoin (they set this up for the GOST R 34.11-2012 hashing algorithm)

It is actually ok, one GPU creates memory error.

xixou - were you able to mine ANC in a mining pool?  Do you mind publishing any notes?  I'll try to reconstruct your notes into documentation.  I have not had a chance to do it myself (nor document it).  Too few hours in the day.

I  have been trying to build anoncoin-qtc on my ubuntu 16.04.5 32-bit computer.
I followed the instructions on the web page to the letter, but they don't work properly.

anoncoin-cli and anoncoind both build correctly, but anoncoin-qtc fails to build.
During the compiling, I get this error:

checking for QT... no
configure: WARNING: Qt dependencies not found; anoncoin-qt frontend will not be built
checking whether to build Anoncoin Core GUI... no (Qt5)

I don't know what I did wrong. What Qt dependencies do I need to install that are not on the instruction page?
