I agree with the above mentioned statements, my only point of contention arises concerning donations solicited on behalf of the furtherance of a completion date for zerocoin. That sucked dudes. Investors? They've probably been making money all the way up and down trading the swings, due to the market cap regardless of actual functionality or completion possibility. Thats all I really want to say about that lol.  I think the main point to be championed is regarding any development of additional functionality for I2p, that is friggin' amazing. An exchange? Currency tokens? Games? Discussions? More cool stuff with the mesh, its super interesting. You start to combine those things with an easy to build/implement self-contained node and the uses look super sweet. It starts to get difficult to say the cons outweigh the pros for deployment of the technology in interesting locales. my /0.02anc

Another good point, the people that donated got fucked pretty badly myself included, thekozitwo in particular. Still i think Anoncoin is the most promising anonymous coin with the soundest approach to privacy and the coin with the largest i2p presence.

True. I think that no coin has yet achieved the holy grail of provable anonymity, so it's all still in play. The only thing out there that looks to have a superior approach to anoncoin is the zerocash project, but those guys have been quiet for a while now.

Yeah and nobody is complaining about their lack of updates and slow pace of development.

Tomothy,

The reason that development has been so slow is that there are only a few people actively involved with the coin.

If you could provide us with a list of your skills, I am sure that we could find something for you to do.

What ANC has going for it on one level is the age, people do see some value in the older coins, obviously as seen with Litecoin Peercoin and others. Also has a slot of some very good exchanges, and in China, that are super hard to land, most coins never make it there. As an investor just buy or mine now and you are almost certain to win if you are wise and patient. If you wait 3 months to buy and then this coin is hyped and skyrocketing, then you are taking risks. (Really old charts make this one easy, and I have been trading and mining it off and on, for years)

While it also needs work, it was sort of the first anoncoin, at least in name, and that counts.

Lunohhod

If you have anyone not afraid of revealing their identities, they are welcome to post about ANC in my Facebook crypto group. (I also understand many want to remain anon)

I do post now and then about it, and certainly will update them with news in the future. I am also keeping some hash power on Multipool.us so others can also mine there.

I will continue to post updates as I see them on Twitter. Right now the last provable activity I can see are some minor I2P commits last month from Gnosis.

https://twitter.com/AnoncoinTeam/status/624033866710425600

The good news is that ANC prices are still about double their 2015 lows. I have a feeling more people may return to the community if progress can be proven (in code). After the failures last fall, trust will need to be built with results not promises.

I still don't see any proof of certain things updated here:

I find it amazing how little Cryptsy seems to care about their reputation. I even Tweeted about this issue to get their response and they dont bother showing up.

https://twitter.com/AnoncoinTeam/status/639184873283059712

Probably best to stick with BTC38 going forward until/unless Cryptsy gives a satisfactory answer about their continued failure to broadcast transactions

Can you be more specific? When it comes to I2P integration this is the first and best coin in existence

mullick is online now.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=99433

Please message him since he seems to be ignoring my request to make a public update.  When I asked him about the stuck withdraw mentioned in this thread, this was his response by private message on September 8th:

"Same issue as before. A lack of clearnet nodes. We were mining ANC and running i2p but are not running i2p now and havent found blocks in a while. Ill get anoncoin moved to a new server and enable i2p again soon"

I asked him to come here to provide an update and give us the raw tx id(s) for the stuck transaction(s). No response.

Maybe retweet this to get their attention:
https://twitter.com/AnoncoinTeam/status/641332301922742272

I may ask the leadership of other coins to help bring attention to these issues too. It is not okay to stop broadcasting transactions or take down their I2P node without warning us. People have ANC being held hostage by Cryptsy, stuck in withdraw status. Other coins have been in Cryptsy "maintenance" while working fine on other exchanges. They need to stop adding new coins until they can prove the ability to properly run the wallets they already maintain.
