What is the need for the BLUE token? Why is it useful and what gives it's value? I get the idea behind the BLUE wallet etc, I've read the whitepaper.
I could be massively stupid but I can't find the answer.

For now I am really happy with the performance of this airdrop, but I want a clear answer to my question if I'm gonna keep holding this token.

If I'm not mistaken, BLUE tokens will be used later on (when that option becomes available) to pay for the review of smart contracts and for the use of BLUE IDE.

Does anyone know if it is safe to store the coins in the beta wallet? When the wallets gets updated (when final versions is beining released), will it automaticlly update the stock of coins in the wallet???

Just downloaded the beta wallet and can use it now on Google Chrome, but I do not dare to move my Blue here, it does not show any back up link and it feels not like a proper wallet to me yet, just an online beta wallet (do not give me a safe feeling at all). Does anyone stores Blue on a hardware wallet? Can someone please advise us. Coinexchange currently holding all ETH tokens on maintenance which gives me a worrying feeling about the exchange site.

EDIT: The Coinexchange.io has disabled the ETH wallet so for now you cannot transfer your ETH tokens anywhere (this seems to already taking days), a lot of complaints of also people losing their coins.

this beta version is 1.01 which means there will be massive update in the upcoming months..i personally intended to just keep small amount of blue in it for now.. dev released it in early stage because they want us to give review and suggestion about the wallet..i think they want the wallet to be as close as what blue wallet user wanted it to be not what devs

Ok, but they do not communicate on this thread about it and it seems to be an online wallet where the user has no full control. I think will move Blue to MEW then, have less hope for the Blue wallet, there is no desktop wallet for Blue (or multiwallet which can hold Blue) and likely will not come soon as well, really annoying. Just want an official safe Blue desktop wallet like Bitcoin Core and Litecoin Core, but this will not come. I do not like online wallets where they stock/own your coins, I want to control my coins, but MyEtherWallet at least better than on an exchange. Maybe Coinomi will list Blue later.

On Twitter people ate talking about yobit, i dont think so because they mainly list coins not tokens
Beside yobit is a shitty exchange.. Lets hope for kucoin/coss.

Or better still. Binance.

Also, to ecco some of the sentiments from other posters...Blue is by a long shot the best airdrop I've ever received. While most of them are just trying to make a quick buck, the Blue team is building a real platform and community, and they didn't charge anyone a penny while doing it. Kudos guys.

MEW is unsafe right now so better avoid log your wallet there yet..what do you mean by blue wallet own your coin? blue wallet just like mew,metamask and other just provide the wallet..it just that blue will have more feature to secure it..you can fully control your coin just like using desktop wallet.they didnt own your coin..

Yes, it's a online wallet so you cannot backup the coins on your own pc so in other words you stock the coins in their online program/wallet and they hold it. I just want the coins on my own program or hardware so I already made my decision. Coinexchange.io is still locking all ETH tokens for withdraw and feel it is not safe to buy it there atm.
