Some Asian countries are developing economy, of course with the inclusion of bitcoin this can open the opportunity of every people to be able to get a better finance opportunity.
Thailand has a high interest in the field of tourism, hopefully the government can accommodate deposit facilities and bitcoin withdraw is easier in the country.

This is so good to know, it just means that bitcoin is getting more legal or having its good feature in ones country, we hope for more.progress of this to othed country.
I guess those thai bitcoin enthusiast will.be more happy to use their bitcoins in public even those people who will.gonna visit thailand.
Anyway, congrats guys, hope to see more news like this in other country.

Thailand has had Bitcoin in place for some time and I see the government is preparing for the future and how to en brass Bitcoin. It is not unusual to see a " We accept Bitcoin " In all type of stores.
This is really great for Thai People and the Tourists that visit......
I think tourists also use bitcoin, with the received bitcoin in thailand is very helpful in economic development, I hope all countries in Asia will follow in Thailand's footsteps. |

Ive been there before, and doesn't here any new about bitcoin there but now i am also overwhelmed that bitcoin would be legalized in that country it would help to make bitcoin more popular and i think other asian country will start to think and learn how it would be legalized and fully adopted.
I only thinking if government start to legalized the bitcoin how they imposed the tax on it, it is digital currency no one declaring their actual income in bitcoin even our personal identity was hide no one can track all our transaction in blockchain. Anyways i am happy for the country of thailand.

its a great news, another one country in asia is accepting bitcoin and I am sure that the tourism in that country will be grow again because the tourists have one more option to pay beside credit card and cash. I think this will attract bitcoin user from other country to visit Thailand and spend their time and their bitcoin in that country. Thailand is become one of many destination country in asia and if now they accepting bitcoin then this will bring something good for their people and of course the country too. |

I heard a lot of great news about bitcoin and some countries are now adapting bitcoin as a currency, asset and investment for the Thailand people to use it, inspite of the bad news that is spreading by the central banks, some countries and some personalities, still bitcoin has a lot of potential than it's negative impact and traits, welcome bitcoin to Thailand and the people who will embrace and love bitcoin, I think bitcoin will spread to the Asian countries soon.

This is really good news for all those who are investing and keeping Bitcoin. When the government of some countries accept Bitcoin for payment, it seems to help Bitcoin increase its popularity and affirm its value. I guess many visitors will visit Thailand and use Bitcoin to pay! |

I'd like to see links but still, if this is true then cool. Here in the Philippines it is already considered legal but even if it's still not mainstream, we don't fear getting arrested or something. I believe Vietnam has also released rules about regulations for it. I'm hoping it will act as a catalyst for economic progress here in ASEAN. There are still plenty of unbanked people here.

Yes it does. I don't think they are just not giving care about bitcoin or maybe they are just preparing for something, but overall bitcoin will be in a hotseat if anything happens. Good to hear that some countries in southeast asia are already starting to recognize bitcoin, and maybe one day they will accept it as their official alternate curremcy next to their national currencies as method of payment. |

Welcome to bitcoin Thailand, this is always a good news when a country has adopted bitcoin and welcomed it. Most of the news about bitcoin adoption are coming from South East Asian countries and there will be a circle of SEA countries that are now into bitcoin. Next time airline's will accept bitcoin for fares. |

I will be visiting Thailand shorty. Can anybody tell me how I can spent bitcoins lets say in a normal restaurant. From what I see the current transaction times is in the magnitude of minutes. So I simply get the transaction going from my smartphone and wait for the people at the restaurant to confirm?!

do you have news links to share here? if thailand is already using bitcoin then it will help the tourist for the transaction. maybe other Asian countries will also follow thailand steps for their economic development in virtual world. if so there will be nothing to stop the development of bitcoin. good luck thailand
