1) Ive never personally said mybtgwallet was safe, not on twitter, not on a chatroom ever anywhere. The scam wallet was written by a third-party developer never a part of BTG team. This person https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1250712 (the wallet on this profile is the wallet that stolen BTC were traced back to): I am the one who contacted the BTG team and exposed the scam to them with evidence. I was scammed also. John Dass was still at that point trying to convince the team it was 'a virus in the user's web browser'. Anyway, they asked me to join the team because of my help. I also spent until around Christmas time trying to help the scam victims but that blew up in my face completely in the end they just threatened to sue us twice.

Actually clone will remain under doubtful shadows and in future when BTC is going to mainstream adoption than it will become hard for all forks to gain attention. I think it could be risky but nobody know what will bring I think at this stage it has more high chance to hit new ATL.

You can even look at their roadmap - in Q2 they should have working LN, Debit Card program, etc. This is all lie, they did nothing except small copy-pasting of LN from BTC and LTC. Q2 already ended. They are scammers. Jack Liao (founder of BTG) already started another BTC hardfork - BTC NY.
