The Bitcoin Gold Community

As the end of the year draws closer we to share some of the upcoming events for early next year and so on.
First we will be working a local BTG ambassador program for around the world,
also future planned meet and greets from the team to the community, new team members and more.

I have forked BTCGPU from their git repo, I have made quite a few changes to the code, the biggest of which is the name switching from bitcoin to bitcoingold it was a lenghty task but thanks to that the application outputs are now bitcoingold-cli, bitcoingold-tx etc instead of bitcoin-cli which would just casue conflicts for most or overwrite their existing bitcoin-cli. meaning you can now run BTG alongside BTC without having to faff around with changing data dir for the apps, blockchain etc

I will be making my commit very soon once done I will have to see if they accept or not.

Here I agree with you. There is no new technology behind this fork. Another new fork that would make money. Invested in it at the beginning when it cost 125 $ rolled to $ 300 and went out

You will have to wait for Coinbase to decide to do this. This may be never, unfortunately. With Coinbase, you have absolutely no control over the private keys. So there is no work around that I am aware of.

Since it can stand at a price of 300$, ranked 11th, it should have some value.

They cost you nothing so hold so where is the problem, hold and watch the show.

I downloaded the wallet from their site when it was available and regularly run it
up to get it sync'ed with no issues (also sent a few to Bittrex).

If you are going to claim your BTG using your private key then it's best to move
your BTC to another wallet address before doing so.
