I am holding BTC for a long time.
How i can claim my BTG?

The time for claiming and Fork has past, that was done sometimes last year and it was for those that were having BTG in supported exchanges. Like mine was in Yobit and I received BTG for having BTC.

Yes, it's way to late to claim any more BTG, you can mine it or buy more at the exchanges if you like.

Any "Bitcoin Gold"-like offshoot of Bitcoin that is GPU mineable, leverages Bitcoin's blockchain and user wallets, keeps scarce supply, open-source, and small blocks, I am all for.

In the longterm, I see no reason why this altcoin wouldn't be worth more than 1.5x price of altcoin "Bitcoin Cash".

In fact, I wouldn't see why the combination of coins of ["Bitcoin Gold", Litecoin, Monero, Vertcoin, Groestlcoin] wouldn't be worth more than 5x of altcoin "Bitcoin Cash"

My little 1.03 BTG has been hurting my portfolio. While BTX has been doing really well against all other shit coins.
And I must say, there was truly no need for BTG or any other fork, after BTX was released. Bitcore is basically every fork combined, and it seems like all the other forks stole pieces of Bitcore. I suggest that everyone gets a HODL of BTX before it flares in price. It has been receiving a lot of attention since the BTC fall. I think because of the ROI and its weekly airdrops.

Frankly to answer this question you have to collect data from two things : 1- Most miners who left BTG project and 2- when last update received from wake up development team .as i see in previous post other traders who lost money in latest bump up .07 looking forward new exchanges which is not enough in absence of mining plus updated development .

Do BTG have replay protection?

I have moved by BTC to another wallet yesterday and today, to claim BTG in the old wallet.

However, upon opening BTG, with the old BTC wallet, it shows all operations from yesterday and today. The fork was in october.

It didnt synch yet, just started doing it, but the ledger shows these operations, going to addresses starting with G.

Now I dont know if it is because it is not synched, or if dont have replay protection and the operations were replayed in the other wallets. Anyone can clarify that?

Synched a node right now, and I have zero BTG in my old wallet.

Before synching, I sent all my BTC to a new wallet, to claim my BTG. This was done 05 and 06 february 2018.

When I opened the BTG qt wallet, I waited for the synch. It took hours.

It is complete now, but there is zero BTG inside the old wallet.

The operations with BTC were replayed in the BTG chain, but they are show with a "?" in place of confirmations, for all operations after october 2017, when the fork happened.

I'm very sad. Spent around 25 dollars to move all my BTC to the new wallet. When I synched BCH, back in august 2017, I did it the same way, and it worked fine.

Edit: it worked now, it was the wallet. It had no addresses listed in it. However, the addresses were in the transactions list. I checked the BTG explorer site and the coins were there. So I used another copy and now is showing up. This other copy, however, had a segwit address, added after the fork. I dont know what happened.

No matter how it was, the price of BTG is steadily falling.

Im also monitoring the BTG price closely. After the first days of a weak hype, it is constantly falling. Anybody knows the reason for it? Or is it just because of the market, in consequence of there not being much demand for BTG?

I think it's a lots of platform want to earn some money,
their are only bittrex and binance could trade it,but I think it would be could trade in poloniex.
the exchange sold their BTG and when the price down,they would buy it from the market and open the exchange

I found for myself bestrate.org cause it's easier and better..it's like an agregator which selects the highest rate among Changelly, ShapeShift, Evercoin, Bittrex, Poloniex and others.
