Is there any additional method to secure your BFX account aside from 2FA? There are quite a few options there You may whitelist IP addresses which are allowed to access the site (though it is not really recommended if you have a dynamic IP address). You may also disallow withdrawals from new IP addresses for 24 hours in case someone steals your credentials and tries to withdraw your funds. If I'm not mistaken, you can also lock withdrawal addresses, i.e. the withdrawals will be possible only to the specified addresses. There seem to be a few other options but I didn't look into them Thank you for the explanation of available methods! Unfortunately, my ISP only offers dymanic IP adresses Locking withdrawal address could be dangerous if you lose access to the withdrawal address I didn't check that thing myself, but it seems that you can still change your withdrawal address (i.e. it is not fixed once and for all). You will most likely have to confirm the change just like you confirm your withdrawals themselves. So it is not as dangerous as it looks. As to me, I'm not very fond of 2 factor authentication if it involves using some side code (like Google authenticator). Personally, I chose the option of confirming withdrawals via an SMS code sent to my phone I guess that will suffice for most intents and purposes, so to speak

Write down the private key for your Bitfinex withdrawal address and store it where you have stored backups from all your other private keys? Just a thought. Written paper can be lost or destroyed (e.g. a fire burning down the house where you store it) or even be unreadable due to fading out. Thank you guys for your help though, I will probably go with a combination of 2FA and withdrawal confirmations.

What I meant to say, just don't forget to backup the private key for your Bitfinix withdrawal address with your preferred backup strategy and this is as safe as any other BTC you have on any other address.

I've just read this: We are suspending all ETH withdrawal until the network backlog subsides and we are able to reliably post transactions to blockchain. We apologize for any inconvenience As I understand it, this is not related to exchange itself but rather to problems with the Ethereum network, and if we don't have ETH (well, at least I don't have any), there is nothing to worry about. Does it mean that the Ethereum chain is broken and could that herald the beginning of the end for this coin so much anticipated lately? ETH price seems to be tanking, almost 10% down within the last couple of hours So could anyone more knowledgeable chime in on this?

Does it mean that the Ethereum chain is broken and could that herald the beginning of the end for this coin so much anticipated lately? ETH price seems to be tanking, almost 10% down within the last couple of hours So could anyone more knowledgeable chime in on this? Coindesk says the ethereum chain is overloaded with transactions, which is pushing the required transaction fees up very high. It's getting so expensive to make a transaction that a plethora of exchanges (including bitfinex) are stopping withdrawals until it's cheaper. http://www.coindesk.com/startups-service-outages-ethereum-blockchain-backlog/Data from ethereum information provider Etherscan shows that more than 300,000 transactions were broadcast on 20th June, the highest amount ever observed on the two-year-old blockchain.
The rise in activity has also pushed the size of ethereum's transaction blocks – which change dynamically – to new highs, while the amount of gas required to send a transaction, a kind of charge for processing power, has climbed to new heights as well.
Combined, these changes appear to be impacting businesses.
The list of exchanges that have announced withdrawal pauses or service disruptions in the past day includes Bitfinex, BTC-e, CEX.io and ShapeShift, among others. Social media posts suggest that users are also seeing disruptions when using other exchanges, including Coinbase, BitBay and Poloniex. I think you can still make ethereum transactions, provided you are prepared to pay an exorbitant fee. According to newsbtc bittrex has now resumed ETH transactions, but it will probably stop them again if the backlog starts increasing again. http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/06/21/ethereum-network-congested-exchanges-forced-disable-eth-wallets/

One more question tho, Who are the creators and has the code been vetted by a reputable source? I'm assuming that only mutisig coins are listed? W00ps, thats 2 questions. EDIT: I thought this is a decentralized exchange

I made a Eth withdrawal 21 hours ago via Bitfinex. I still havent received funds, even though it says it complete on the exchange. I clicked on the address to and from. There is no transaction history on Etherscans website, nor Etherchain. Im getting furious as they wint respond to my email. Has anyone had this problem, and can anyone help please.....
Thanks.

Today I turned with this questions to support and they answered within an hour: thanks for your message.
firstly I would like reply your another open ticket regarding Friedman LLP Finance Audit.
the 30th June is the day that we do the audit up to . This means that a " snapshot' of all crypto wallets and bank accounts were taken at midnight on the 30th June. That information is then provided to the auditors who will check and confirm all transactions and balances as at the 30th June. It will take the auditors a few months to check everything.
2nd question: regarding USD deposit availability and deposit using EURO wire transfer.
At this time USD/EUR deposits and withdrawals are not possible, we are working on a solution for this but have no time frame for when this will be available.
Cash, Credit cards, payment processors and 3rd party payments are not allowed.
We will make an announcement once further information is available.
