This already exists: http://charts-bfxdata.rhcloud.com/

But please do make something yourself, too. I like charts & more information.

A graph over LTC and BTC rates and amounts borrowed over time, for example, would be cool (like what the above mentioned site has for USD).

Workin' on it Smiley Overhere you can have a sneak preview:

http://charts-bfxdata.rhcloud.com/graphTotalLendsBTC.php
http://charts-bfxdata.rhcloud.com/graphTotalLendsLTC.php

I will add a complete liquidity stats page for BTC / LTC soon (same as for USD). Almost ready just some final touches and I'll add them.

Just added complete liquidity stats pages for BTC / LTC (same as for USD).
A few considerations:
  • lend books is very "thin" for BTC and LTC liquidity swaps (i.e. very few offers and demands) so depth chart will be a bit hard to read. just click in the legend to hide bids or ask to get a better readable chart.
  • I've just today started collecting data for the lowest liquidity offer / highest liquidity demand for BTC an LTC so the graphs will look a bit odd the first couple of hours, they'll improve  by time (just like a good wine).

One thing I would like: A public trades history page. BFX has one at https://www.bitfinex.com/pages/public_log  and it used to show the last 100 trades. Now it seems this page only shows trades from the last 5 minutes or something, it's only got a few trades on it now.

There already are tables in the BTCUSD, LTCUSD and LTCBTC orderbook pages showing the most recent 300 trades.
http://charts-bfxdata.rhcloud.com/bitfinexOrderbookBTCUSD.php (just scroll down a bit)

If you have more requests / suggestions please let me know and I might just add them Smiley

To be fair, Bitfinex is incorporated in Hong Kong. You should observe the rules in Hong Kong.
Every country has its own calendar, do you think the bank in your country will process your deposit / withdrawal if it is your public holiday?

I think Bitfinex has made the announcement in advance and they have tried to minimize the withdrawal time by temporary changing the bank to Hong Kong. (The holiday in China is even longer)

Don't feed the trolls please.

The guy you're responding to admitted in another thread that he just likes to talk big on random threads, while actually living in his parents basement and only being allowed to use the Internet after his overbearing mother-slash-half sister checked if he wiped well enough after he took a "potty break" as they call it in his grotesquely dysfunctional family.

The ignore function works very well here on bitcointalk.org.
It does wonders.
Just a tip for fellow bitcointalkers who are feeding the trolls.

EDIT: REMEMBER THIS TROLL IMPREGNATED HIS WIFE TWICE AND IS AMERICAN SO HE IS SUPERIOR TO EVERYONE OF YOU COMMIES.

Hey I'm American also,
What is there a problem with having "Americans"
On this Forum or in this Thread ?, I happen to think
That he is not too far off from the truth, if a company
does not service their customers, then another company will, simple !

As for the American part,
Yes America is looked at as the "World's Police"
and it's who every country calls every time their dictatorships fail !

So he is right on that issue also,
Personally I don't think that half the countries we protect and recuse are
Deserving of us "Americans" sending our "Sons & Daughters / Military" to die for,
obviously the two of you are clear examples of that, ungrateful S.O.B.'s

Everyone hates America, but everyone has dreams of "Coming to America", why ?

Because your neighbouring countries and the ones down in the south are great.

Anyways, could we please get back on topic instead of "discussing" the US of A?

Where do I find the Referral code to give discount to someone?
I remember some people distributing them. Now I have some friends who want to join and I promised them a referral code.

Thanks

No it refers to the order book, or the "market depth display" if you want.

A single exchange has typically orders at a bid side and an ask side and a gap in between, called the "spread".
Whenever someone places an limit buy order above current ask price or a limit sell order below current bid price,
this order can be trivially filled and thus will be filled immediately.

But for a service like Bitfinex, which aggregates several actually independent markets, this structure doesn't hold anymore,
since not every limit buy matches automatically with any applicable limit sell order. If you just overlay the offers of two markets
into a single 2nd-level orderbook, it can well happen that the lowest ask order is below the highest bid order, whenever the behaviour of the underlying markets diverges substantially. This situation is known as "crossed orders". This can lead to confusion as to when limit or stop orders are actually triggered by the trading engine.

The change implemented now by the Bitfinex people is that they now don't display such "crossed orders" anymore. Rather they detect them and execute them in a best match way until the crossing has resolved and bid is below ask again. That is what I infer from the quoted statement and from observing how the trading engine works now. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

technical question to the Bitfinex team: how do you handle now the situation when you loose the API link to Bitstamp? Will you still remove Bitstamp orders from the orderbook temporarily, until you re-establish the API link?

If I might humbly suggest, you could add to the "Swap Return Calculator" math the option to account for compounding.

So perhaps you might want to specify there that the interest is "not accrued by default", so that people don't get confused. And maybe add a check-box called "compound interest", to calculate the field "Return whole period" based on the compounded interest formula << Future Value = Present Value ( 1+ interest rate )^number of periods >>.

it means that you will never see this on the orderbook:

BUY----------SELL
820----------819
817----------822
820----------823

It was a 'long resquested feature' and has nothing to do with your (long) position, no need to worry Smiley

Hello,

When Bitstamp is unreachable the corresponding orders are just cancelled (which still is noticeable in term of depth), until Bitstamp API can be reach again.

This is what happened last sunday for example.

Any chance of you guys paying TradingView or MetaTrader 4
whereas we can finally have BitFinex Charts with Indicators
to trade off of ?, before the recent changes we were able to
trade off of Stamp charts, but now there is at least a 2-Point spread.
