I think initially Bitconnect was planned as scam, but it turned out to be more proffitable to be online and working for over year. Ethconnect looks and sounds familiar, so it will be easy for them go get people in. Its like mcdonalds owned by some random dude.
This can work very well.

I confirm site is back up. Phew! Let’s hope this a sign that exchange will open as planned. Having read everything that has been said in here, clearly there is something fishy wish this. I for one will sell everything as soon as I can to get out (hoping they let people withdraw their btc). Do not want to give them a few weeks to run away with the cash. The only argument that made sense to me in terms of this this isn’t a scam is why would run away when they could potentially have much much more? Good luck to all and thanks to everybody for contributing, wow what a community, very impressive

I doubt it very much. There is comments in this thread quite recently that they have 'moved' BTC & ETH to a another hardware wallet. From what I can see, somethimg still not quite roght here.
That said, there is some hope now the site is back up.

Yes the site is back, but you will be not able to withdraw anything. Scammers just reopened their site to lure more people and steal more money from them.

They just open the exchange, get members to sell their tokens and when BTC is received by the seller, the funds are "magically" blocked and no withdrawal is possible. They can do this for a couple of days and when satisfied that they have a nice fat chunck of cash, the site "magically" goes offline and this time the site will not come back online like it did a few hours ago. This would be the perfect exit scam

Yes, "would" but it hasn't happened. Have you ever heard of defamation? Because you are guilty of it.
Congratulations to everyone who bought ethconnect, the fudders have proven how jealous they are with their time wasting posts. Success lies ahead.

That's a little unfair Vamp'. The poster was giving a possibility with the possibility that you cannot withdraw from the site.

Currently, now, the withdrawl wallet in not working. People cannot withdraw their outstanding BTC or ETH and are asking the questions on Ethconnects social media sites as recently as this morning.

EDIT: To add and consistently Ethconnect are not responding.

I wouldn't believe someone who cheated you of having a particular person in the team but is actually not. Even though it turns out that they will be paying then would you still believe them? Of course...there will still be people who will believe ethconnect because of easy money. I have nothing personal against anyone here but this is only my opinion which I strongly believe in.

WTF is your problem? Yes I said "would" because personally I have 0.09 BTC in this shit and hope to at least get my money back. So no defamation mate, get a life. You have no idea what you are talking about and stop making assumptions you retard. You are just guilty of being an idiot.

I am sure you have read all previous posts here so you will know that there was a limit as to who much you could buy and when. At the time of my purchase, this is what I managed to get. i did not chose price because quantity was fixed and dependent on BTC price. So think next time you take a shit out of your mouth retard

Ratios my friend ratios.
I wasn't going to invest in Ethconnct, as I thought it looked dodgy. But I also thought, what the hell, it could be like one of the others and make a quick killing so I stuck less than 0.2% of my BTC in, just 1/5th of one percent of my BTC holding.

It depends on how much the chap with 0.89BTC has in the scheme of his overall portfolio, if like me it is fractional, it aint a big deal. If it is all his crypto..... oh f@@@@@@k.

Out of princple I would like to withdraw what I can, or wait until the exchange opens.

If 0.89 is massive to him, then more fool him, if it is a small fraction, you gotta take these risks sometimes.

Certainly not worth you getting hot under the collar and name calling, calm down, life is to short.
