Is every country really corrupt?

I don't know, but everyone from my country thinks that ours is the most corrupt in world. Is it the same in yours too? If so...why, or how come?

YES. To some extent ad fdown to its very levels I think that every country is corrupt. whEther the stats tells that it is not. EVENnif t is a small akount i believe that koney talks and that is one thing that is very hard gor people to ignore especially in the big offices

All countries have corruption, because corrupt people ARE attracted to power. Not to say that only corrupt people seek power, but that all corrupt people want power. So you will usually find them seeking office.

Not every country in the world is corrupt. There are countries such as Singapore and Japan, where the levels of corruption is extremely low. It depends on the mentality of the people as well. In some of the countries, the people are having a very low tolerance to corruption. But in some others (like India and Zimbabwe), the people are very tolerant.

I cant say that every country really corrupt but i know in my country which is philippines is really corrupt why i cant say that cause theirs a lot of government member went to jail because of their sins because they corrupted the money from the the people .hope that the corrupt people will be enlighted from the light of god so that they will not do it again.

unfortunately, ethics in the world are at a low level among the majority of the population...therefore very few will refuse the extra opportunity to earn, even if in a dishonest way...in the same way, corruption is growing

As long as there's a person who is greedy and corrupt the corruption will never be gone. Corruption involves money that can lead to a crime and can destroy the life because it makes the person be selfish. In country, the corruption will never be gone if there's still a person who has  ambition just to in power and control weak people.

The government of my country is one of the most corrupt in the world. The elected politicians only show compassion when it's time for people to vote. They appeal to the poor because they are the majority of the population. Corruption is so common that all people are aware of it, yet they don't do anything about it. Why? I guess people are used to it, that they don't really care. If only we could stand as one and do something about corruption such as ousting notorious corrupt politicians.

You say like you're from Ukraine, man I understand you so much! I think slavic contries are most corrupted in the whole frickin world, so sad! Maybe only Africa can compete with us in this issue

Corruption is an integral companion of any authority. Believe me, corruption at different levels of power exists in every country in this world!
We used to refer to it sharply negatively, but in fact it is not quite so. Sometimes corruption is used to save the people. For example, when they seek (albeit unfairly) to obtain land for building a hospital, an almshouse, and so on. Using love for the money of some politicians, you can do a lot of good things. After all, for every greedy officer there is no less intelligent figure with a conscience

Nope. Corruption is not accepted as a norm in most of the world nations. For third world nations such as India and Pakistan, the situation may be different. The people are used to paying bribes and normally they don't complain as long as the demands are "reasonable". But those living in the EU and North America are much more averse to paying bribes.

Yes. Because all countries are governed by people.
People are by definition selfish, self-centered and immoral.

There is no country in the world that has no corruption in their system. Most countries have tried so hard to minimise their level of corruption while others have taken it to the level of impunity. The global corruption perception index on a yearly basis rates countries as against some key criteria. Most countries, particularly the Scandinavian have done a lot to reduce corruption through good governance.

However, in Africa, corruption is still very rife and my country Nigeria is trying hard to fight the menace to no avail.

Maybe not. There are still those countries where people do not care about money and just try to live a peaceful life. I would like to believe that there are still goodness at everyone in a whole small place where corruption does not exists.

Probably, but it seen often in the TV that most corrupt countries are from Africa or Latin America , and nothing will change that.

There is corruption in every country in the world. In some countries, it is to a greater extent in some countries less. In our country, corruption has reached unprecedented proportions.

Acts of corruption are committed by irresponsible people whose purpose is to earn money in an unrighteous manner aimed at enriching themselves. If there are still many such as people like to acts corrupt who are in government in a country, then the country will not develop

In anywhere there is corruption too, There are many countries with almost obvious corruption but some countries it is just not seen openly like other countries. Corruption is fuelled by power and greed.

Hard question to answer in a simple way. My best guess would be a yes but to what level is hard to judge. Human greed creates corruption all over in the world, every country included. I'm sure certain countries are more corrupt than others but it depends how you are determining the level of corruption in the first place.

It is not the country that should be pointed out but the people of that country. Greed is one of the major factors why countries are being dragged down by corruption. I hope tnere are capital punishments like death penalties for those individual proven to have stolen from people's money
