Of course it is, but only if is you act as a professional, maximizing the gains and minimizing the loss.
Of course analysis is difficult, because the standard system don't work so well.
But my impression is that a lot of "traders" are actually gamblers, taking decisions without any sense.

i think its still profitable but we need to know how to pick the right price when we want to buy or sell because the situations now is like a trap and if we are not be careful, we can not make profit and from last month to till now it is most profitable than holding bitcoin. We have seen rise of verge and we have seen the rise of cardano and now i am hopping for same for electroneum.

Of course it is.  Trading bitcoin can be very challenging  part of cryptocurrency world and it is truly useful when it comes to gaining profit.  We all have the same aims when there is increase of value in every token we sell. Make sure that you active and alert when checking its rate because there are times that it goes down or decrease rapidly.

It certainly isn't easy, but I've found it profitable so far. I just stick to my strategy, don't break from it and only trade strong coins to begin with.

you only need to keep practice trading so you can make a big profit. don't afraid if sometimes you get lost because at other times, I am sure that you can make a bigger profit than your lose. I think you can try with small volume coins and see if you can make a profit or not and make sure check the price and the history of the trade. don't just stick with the strong coin because sometimes it moves too fast and without bigger balance, you are difficult to follow the trade.

In my opinion still profitable because many altcoin going up trend and will be more easy to gain profit. And also if compare with other kind of trading like forex trading, crypto trading is more easy to make profit. Just learn more about good strategy and risk management to increasing the profit.

Trading can definitely be more profitable than simply holding bitcoin but just for traders with experience.
At this time where the coin prices are swinging it can be very tricky to catch the right moments to do the right decisions. You have to invest a lot of time in research if you choose this path. If you can't afford the time to do this: holding bitcoin for long term is also an alternative. You'll get a profit out of it either way

And it still profitable when you buy it at dip not at top Smiley

There are no strong coins in my opinion. It's like they just have their own time to shine. They have ups and downs and still volatile so they ain't strong at all. We are still on early stage so competitors are still going to come so maybe they're popular now but someday a better one can possibly bring them down.

All of the trading activities are beneficial and profitable if you can handle them without taking too much risk. If you take excessive amount of risks, it won't be good for you because you will stressed out.

I'm new in trading and I'm getting a profit, even though my profit is small due to my small capital, so I think trading cryptocurrency is still profitable, the price of fluctuating cryptocurrency so you can get a profit or not it depends on your strategy.
You can make a huge amount of money in the world of trading but for that you actually need to learn more thing and you need to improve your skill set. If you will continue to learn new things, it will help you in making better decisions in trading which can then help you in having greater profit. Trading of altcoin or even bitcoin is the most profitable thing to do and it can make you rich.

Of course that it is profitable, only that you need to find the altcoins that are going to be profitable for your trades, you can not trade with a random coin because you are going to be in a huge loss.

I was a trader awhile back, I want to say about a year ago now and wanted to know what the current state of the market is for the traders that are currently trading to this day? I know a lot of the current exchanges that I used for trading, such as Poloniex, are still around but aren't really being used much as before.

I wasn't able to profit much but would like to hear how people are doing these days. Thanks a ton!

really trading bitcoin and altcoin in other market is very advantageous especially if we can take advantage of difference of difference of bitcoin and altcoin price in other market we can get very much profit.
Yes this difference can make a huge impact on your profits and losses. Before getting into trading or investing, it is the dire need of time to do proper reach about it. Which coin will benefit you, how things will work in this coin, which market will help this coin to come up. These questions must be asked to yourself so that better market for good coin is monitored and used.

Altcoin trading can be profitable for expert trader only and person who enable to control their emotion. For me trading is difficult job especially altcoin trading that paired with BTC because we should be analysis 2 market price, the price of BTC and the price of altcoin. To make profit i just hold fundamental coin for longterm and paired with USDT or other fiat currency.

trade is still profitable if we do it right. but I end up choosing to hold my coins a lot because of market movements that I think are less stable.

Any way you look at it you will always make bigger profits if you trade against BTC only. Any coin going up against USD but going down against BTC equals BTC doing better against USD than that altcoin, then is best to not trade that altcoin & stick to trading/holding bitcoin.

Yes, buying and selling bitcoin and altcoins is still profitable more than ever i can say because in the recent weeks the cryptocurrency market is booming. Altcoins like Ripple, IOTA, QTUM, NEM, and other altcoins are getting a lot of serious investors.
Sure, the crypto market may be booming now, but that does not mean they may not have some bears as well doing there thing on the crypto market soon. However, there is a lot of profit to make, the market is huge and even as a long term holder or investor, you can choose the right coin, believe in it and know that you will always have it better in the long run and as a trader, you can imbibe the skills of trading and be making a lot from the volatility of the crypto market.

Obviously yes! you can still make huge profit by just trading bitcoin and other altcoins. Just look at the bitcoin price few months ago and now, if you invested in bitcoin few months back then you have earned  huge amount of profit.
