HiveOS Linux v0.5-64
- Autofan will stop mining at 90°C by default to protect your GPU from burning. To reboot rig on driver error, fake temps like 511°C, fans malfunction you should enable REBOOT_ON_ERROR=1 in /hive-config/autofan.conf. It's still manual option, web autofan config will be in Hive 2.0 very soon.
- Easier choosing server mirror on the rig. Now you don't have to change it on web, you just run firstrun -f and set mirror you want. Server URL will be changed on the web if the connection succeeds.

1) Is there any way to set alternative pool/wallet/miner in case main is not working properly, e.g. all pools for this coin are down (hello LUX), miner constantly crashes for some reason, etc? Some kind of wallet+miner+oc profile for emergency case, which should always work without problems?

2) Is there any way to group Rigs and change wallets/miners for them simultaneously?

3) Cryptodredge for Linux is now available.

I'm guess we talking about ccminer
ccminer supports for failover (backup) pool servers.
If click on Info icon near Pool URL then you will see tooltip "For failover pools just write them on the next line, pass is used one for all. "

2) Is there any way to group Rigs and change wallets/miners for them simultaneously?
Yes, you can apply any command to rig or group of rigs.
Rigs can be grouped via Tags system and then you can easy select rigs via Tag and apply any command to them (incl. change wallet, miner, reboot etc).
It's can be done using Rigs menu.

3) Cryptodredge for Linux is now available.

How to make it work in Hive?
You or (someone else) can create custom miner. Guide how to do this - https://forum.hiveos.farm/t/custom-miner-integration/4521/29
Personally for me more prefer t-rex which already present at HiveOS

1) I specially mentioned situation when failover pool doesn't work. For example when Luxcoin was down for several days on all pools or another possible variant is newly updated miner that crashes for some reason after several minutes of mining. It's better have solution for worst scenario, isn't it? Several defined "Emergency wallet+miner+low oc profile" can solve that.
2) Thanks.
3) For the moment CD has fastest phi2 algo. 7200+ on 1080ti vs 6800 on enemy or 6300 on t-rex. Also other algos are good in some cases.

https://github.com/MaynardMiner/MM.Hash

New custom miner for HiveOS, in beta stages.

Auto-Coin, Auto-Algorithm, Auto-Pool switching miner.

Requires some additional setup to use. Help.txt file should give you an idea of how many algorithms and options it has.

I have been designing a unix profit switching app for months. I saw HiveOS custom miners, and so I modified code to work in hive environment.

Imagine using a miner like awesomeminer, sniffdog, or uberminer, but in Hive and mines using unix binaries.

It is not 100% complete. Currently only does Nvidia. I am working out gui issues, and then will add other devices.

Join discord in readme to join beta test, to get full version faster.

HiveOS Linux 0.5-65
* update XMR-Stak to v2.4.7
* update XMRig to v2.6.4

About ewbf v0.4
We try it and watch on ewbf topic threads also. Our conclusion - v0.4 unstable vs previous version v0.3.
So HiveOS team decided don't update this miner to v0.4 because on some configuration it's unusable.

hi all hive users
i have this command in my wallet config
-tt 55
-ttli 62
-fanmin 55
-fanmax 75

but i still have cards with this info in panel
59°   49%

why  hive does not control the temp?

miner is claymore

p.s: there is no fan control in AMD setting neither in tuning

You have to add:
-tt 1

-tt 1 to disable fan control from HiveOS default configuration.

i believe it is not solution
accoriding to claymore config:
Code:
"-tt 1" (default) does not manage fans but shows GPU temperature and fan status every 30 seconds.

anyhow if i put -tt 1 so how does hive to know what is my target temp?

According to the help in HiveOS / Wallet / miner Claymore

Put here settings which you want to appear in config.txt of Claymore, ONE ON EACH LINE. For example:
-fanmin 100 will set fans to 100%
-tt 65 will set target temperature to 65C
-tt 1 to disable fan control
-di 34ab use GPUs 3, 4, 10, 11
Please refer to Claymore documentation for other settings.

i told you -tt 1 is wrong because i know about claymore config.txt very well
i mean that HiveOS has a lag in controlling temp when i put -tt 55 -fammin 45 -fanmax 75
fans should work from 45% to maximum 75% and cool down GPUs to 55 if they are above 55
i mean so why i have
57°   60%
at terminal
is 60% wrong?
if it is right why does it not goes up to 75 % to cool down 57 to 55?

I am managing around 400 GPU and i use -tt 1 and it is working. But like you said you surelly know Claymore better than me.

Amazing software. My mining farm (200*RX470/570) is working absolutely stable on hiveos for around 6 months. Would definitely recommend anyone, it worths its price.

Just because it works okay for you doesn't mean it works for everyone else.

Please look at the thread comments:

"v0.4 is unstable and disconnects the GPUs,"
"Exact same issue here. Updating to .4 caused instability with the OC. Had to lower the OC across my rigs that were running stable multiple day runs on .3."
"Equihash Miner 0.4 is fast about 10% but very unstable, need catch all bugz."
"I cannot use This SW. Im getting always that error of cuda devices busy."

On telegram some users manually update to 0.4 in Hive and had some issues

Let them fix the bugs first then introduce the patched version to Hive OS Smiley

Why don't you manually update it in Hive then? Nothing stopping you doing that and its easy to do
