What size usb is needed to run Hive OS I want to give it a shoot I'm looking for something life this for my amd rigs I tried pimp, ethos, and smos I'm currently running pxa fork of nvOS for my nvidia and love it but checking out hive looks good for my amd rigs

As small as 8gb required. Though usb flash drives are more for testing as die, you'd want to use SSD in production.
Thank You I'm going to burn a 16gb 3.0 just to play your os look good so most likely going with SSD

i'm not familiar with miningrigrentals.com, but as understand you should point your rig to their pool. Then yes, you can do it, you can setup any pool on Hive.

Absolutely. 4gb ram is enough for everything.

is it bootable operating system or application?? Because this thread title says it is OS but when I look at their download page I see a file with extension .exe.
Bootable OS usually come in ISO format for burning onto DVD unless I am missing something.

exe is an utility to write the image to drive in windows. Watch the video on the main page where you could have this answer...

Hey everyone.

I have my first 4x 1070 rig all set up with windows 7 up and running. Now I want to setup 2 new rigs with 7x 1080Ti each and I am looking for an OS for this. I really want to try your very promising Hive OS but it doesnt seem to have the option to have something similar to Awesome Miner + MPH, which I am using in my first rig.

Can you guys tell me more about it?

"Error sending stats
CURLE_OPERATION_TIMEDOUT (28) Operation timeout. The specified time-out period was reached according to the conditions."
Here is some screenshots as proof.

you are pinging nanopool... not hive
check this please
http://forum.hiveos.farm/discussion/15/rig-is-offline

What i did to resolve this matter was reset internet modem and in this way, that matter got solved. I must to say that i don't have such problem with LAN cable connection.
While i faced to this problem for several times, i'll ping hiveos and report the result here.

I faced to the problem again. You can see i can not ping hiveos.farm from the console while i can ping it from my windows cmd at the same time.
https://screenshots.firefox.com/tPYGWPKpLHV13weo/null
I noticed when this matter occurred sometimes i could ping from both console and my windows but the rig could not send stats.
I must to add, during the matter, i didn't lost my shares and also could not see hashrate drop on nanopool report page. While mining pool have offline Rig email notification, I didn't got any email during the matter that caused.  I feel it's something wrong with Hiveos server that could not report to it's web panel (of course in this case).
How can i investigate this matter?

Sorry about that, I didn't phrase my question correctly. I left out the important part. The GPU are hashing tiny bit higher hash-rate but consuming 20 Watt more per card. I have thought about that as well, under clocking the RX GPU and loading it into the Bios. My PSU is a 1200 Watt system and 6x GPU system is nearing its safe limits.
If you set CoreState 2 does it change? CoreVolt seems not to have big effect on power consumption.

I set CoreStage 2 but my cards will stay at 1 ... is it works?

@dimafren, so I followed your advise to under-clock using Bios and flash that into the GPU and it worked. It is still about 5-8 watt more than Windows but it is now more comparable. For those that are having same issues as my rig, you will still need to set the Core/Memory Clock & Core State in the web application.

Now I am testing if I can get it stable with just 850 mV. I will post updates once I get some hours into the rig.

I can't say a lot from your screen shot.
If you give me a PM with ssh access i will be able to look at your problem when it repeats.

Hi to the nice Hiveos development team!
Please make an update for Claymore-x (cryptonote). They released ver 11.1 to "fixed issue with stale shares, now effective hashrate must be higher" and "a few minor improvements". Please make this update as soon as possible to get more hashrate! Smiley

They released v11.2 before completing this post! Cheesy

I didn't know that HiveOS is still using the old one. I'd suggest the dev to have the current version of each miner (in-front of the miner name) on the home page
