Just to confirm, Hive OS runs completely from the USB - I can still keep my Windows install intact?
Yes, you can choose what to boot from in the BIOS.
If you stick in your USB stick and set bios to boot from it, then you will run HiveOS, otherwise your Windows/Linux will boot.

hi guys i moved 1 rig today on hive 0S to try it and i run into a problem , my rig with 7rx580 and h110 pro btc mobo in windows is consuming 1000w from wall and in hive os 1300w after all oc i have tried my power lowered to 1260w . what am i doing wrong?
thanks.

Hello,

On AMD OC fixe DPM in Core State (Index):

This is required if you try to undervolt you card. You should use this parameter with "Core Clock" setting and "Core Voltage".
DPM (Dynamic Power Management) or "Power Level" of GPU core. For RX cards it's a value from 1 to 7. Default is 5. Lower the value to downvolt.

You can set 5 or 4 for you RX 580.

I recommand you to set your AMD OC on HiveOS and put DPM (5 or 4) + Core Voltage (mV): V900 (should be stable)
You can undervolt more with V875 or V860 depending on the coins you mine.

Not sure about the 19 GPU.

But are you sure B250 will support 19 P104-100?
Read the documentation of the mother board first.

Not sure about the 19 GPU.
you can get these PCIE 1x cards that can run 4 risers.
Have seen them, but never tried one.

I've used quite a few of the 4-in-1 Risers. They work perfectly. They sit tight in the slot, and no performance problems at all.
I have MATX boards with only 3 PCI-E running 8 GPUs.

Mine works very well so far with a mix of 10 nVidia cards under HiveOS.

I need more PSUs to install more cards.
I do believe ASUS recent Bios v1001 permits 19 of any type card.

As usual, YMMV.

Hive OS have been very stable so far for me. Thanks for the great software! I'm just wondering if there is a possibility to add Claymore's incorrect ETH shares to the dashboard? It would make overclocking much easier as you would not need to ssh into each machine to check for memory errors.

Been testing it on a single PC for a week no problems although it is a simple case.

What I haven't been able to do is multi algo profit switching on zpool (or mph). I have to set up a wallet for every algo and manually change wallets (which is very easy to do using the website interface) but has anyone done any kind of auto profit switching in hiveos?

I work on a lab with RX 560,570,580 no problem at all. You still have to set different OC for each card.

You can specify one value for all cards or list of values for each card separated by space. "0" or empty - no setting will be applied.
150 – one value for all GPUs.
0 100 0 0 0 140 – means GPU0 = none, GPU1 = 100, etc.

When mining on the GPU and CPU, how do you see the mining stats from the cpu miner?  When I type miner all I see is the GPU stats.

Thanks

I try one time and CPU seems to be add as GPU.
You should check on HiveOS monitoring page and see if you have new GPU during CPU mining process.

I tried to set it up to for single coin mining but the stratum kept disconnecting. A setup guide would be really appreciated.
