Things are finally settling down a bit.

Not quite the crash so many expected.

Funny some people are still waiting for the big dip

If it was gonna happen, we would have seen it by now

Quite agree. ETN's price is holding up pretty damn good so far.
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Shocked
Quite impressive
I know that there are still a lot of people that have their wallets blocked, so we how to see the price after those wallets release.
But the support for this coins is way more than i have expected.
The ICO price at the begining was under 1cent. Now the price is 6-7cent. REALLY IMPRESSIVE, with such a huge amout of coins.
I new this coin had great potential. But never expected such a great support just from the start.
WOW
Still one of my best investment of this year
 Cool

PS: I had prepared some capital to invest , cause i thought that the price could go to ICO or even bellow. Now my plat vanished  Sad
  Grin
Cool

dont think too much. price will fall apart , currently less than 5% coins released in the market. 90% yet to come out. not denying that great potential for project but short term there would be a dip as yet to 4.8 billion coins yet to come put

Where did you get the 5% figure from? Doesn't seem right to me. Are you assuming that all will be sold? I think most people will hold because the ICO was targeted at people who aren't really into crypto and trading.

I'm also wondering where people are pulling these numbers from?

I'm also wondering where people are pulling these numbers from?

I'm seeing them thrown around in the Telegram chat a lot too, never with any actual evidence. I think it's probably people who sold at 3xx sats and want to buy back.

Exactly. Seems like a pretty dangerous claim to make without any evidence backing it up. Some people may sell and lose out on a lot.

pool.electromeum.space is currently claiming 38+ MH/sec on Electroneum 130+ MH/sec. Many other pools from lists are non responsive or charge ridiculous fees, or have almost no users . Is this the pool that will tell electroneum what they can and cannot do? Anyone think they can be knocked down, or have the overlords spoken?

Much of the recent small dip has more to do with BTC rising sharply than anything else. When you compare it to ETH that is down 8% in FIAT value compared to ETN that actually went up 2% in FIAT value, you can see it is not doing bad at all.  A lot of projects dipped over the past few hours because of BTC.

All these numbers being quoted are just wild guesses, at least say as much rather than try to disguise it as fact. The wallets are now working fine for most people. Not everyone plans or ever planned to sell their coins, especially now the price has already dipped. Dumping now is a risk, the bigger dip may never happen.

Anything is possible, but many will hold their coins. I know I am.

Quick question, does the new "public wallet address" associated to each users my.electroneum page have a "Private Send" and a "Private View" keys like the offline paper wallets? (or is that one only protected by our password and PIN?)
I haven't tried doing any transfers yet, but was planning on transferring most of my ETN to an offline paper wallet sometime soon.

Also, I know launch just happened, but is ETN being supported by any hardware wallet at the moment?

None that I know of at the moment. Currently, Only the Electroneum Mobile and web wallet are your best options right now. We should see ETN getting more support and integration for other wallets

the beauty of it is u dont need any hardware wallet and other crap
all u need to do is send coins to your wallet address and its in the blockchain forever. of course u will need the 3 keys address, view and send. u can print out the pdf you get when you create a offline wallet, or you can store it in a usb stick. that would be your hardware wallet.
you can protect your data putting your file into a password protected archive

the probably easiest and safest way to keep your coins is using the https://my.electroneum.com/ wallet manager. you need 2 email address and a phone number to create. u may even forget your password - since you can reset them using your email.

at the moment it looks like we can not see the spend and view key of the wallet the electroneum wallet manager creates. this may change in a update or not i dont know.

electroneum offers a very good way to keep your coins. much better than other coins

having centralized wallet, where you have no access to public and private keys is a bad thing (and no they will never give you the keys, because than they loose the control and they will never make sure if the reason you lost your coins is because of you or them). Blockchains are decentralized for a reason. Hardware wallets also have their reason, put your coins on a cheap usb stick and you will regret it later.
To safely store your coins you can use a hardware wallet, or use the offline wallet on a computer which was never and will never be connected to the internet, create your keys, save it on the computuer, write it down and store it in a safe or give it to your mum, so its not in the same location like the computer its stored on.

The recent dip has little to do with bitcoin or eth. ICO funds were released and much was dumped within hours. Others may not have figured out how to use the offline wallet. I'm holding what I have also.

You have no idea. I was not referring to the dip after wallet launch. I was referring to the falling volume and another small dip just hours ago as BTC spiked for the first time in days. All alts are now tumbling in BTC value. Please actually bother to check the markets before replying and read my post properly.

Of course the dip was going to happen after we all got our ICO coins and wallets unlocked. I was not talking about this at all. I have been active here discussing all this. This is new information since last night and ETN is actually up in FIAT.

Most people would consider recent, within the last week.  You should have been more specific.

The ICO release was expected and several comments were made about a drop in price when cash grabbers dumped.  If you believe in the company/project, give it a bit of time to come back up.

Are people seriously trying to argue there hasn't been a dip?  That's not even worth responding to, of course the wallet release affected the price.  If you feel otherwise, it's not worth trying to explain to you why you're wrong, because you're either trolling or just stubborn.

Whether the price will go any further down - that depends on this rumor about not all ICO coins being released yet.   What we need is a clear statement from the ETN team about what the mined supply is, what the ICO supply was, and how much of that ICO supply has been moved out of the ICO wallets.  It should be in the ETN team's interest to be transparent, as that is what will give value in the long run.  If they cover up facts and figures to protect the short term price, they will hurt the coin long-term.

So with a circulating supply of 4,997,507,466, ETN makes it to the top 50 coins on the CoinMarketCap website. A significant price rise may take it to the top 10.

If the rumor is true, then that really be very important of the team to give the total number of tokens in supply, nobody wants to be faced with unwanted surprises moving forward in this project. Really the people who claims there hasn't been a dip must be joking or clearly they haven't no etn in there portfolio.
