Yes myetherwallet is safe to stored ethereum. Here in my country mytherwallet.com is one of the trusted ethereum wallet that are use of of many user for storing ethereum while in treading.

I just want to add the ERC20 tokens or the Eth based tokens. MEW is capable of storing any tokens as long as its ETH based. I know which Country you belong and I believe MEW isnt gonna be used by majority to store their ETH anymore, since the mainstream local wallet in our country added the new wallet to store ETH.
There are lots of 3rd party wallets which are really capable on storing out ETH but i would still always prefer on using MEW over them. Why? Simply because you do have the full access into your json.file and your private keys which you cant really obtained if you are using 3rd party wallet sites. If their service or site is gone then say goodbye completely with your coins and thats the risk involve on using them this is why its always been the best to store it out in MEW.

I agree with that. When talking about the safety of storing your ETH and other Erc20 tokens its always the best to use MEW. The only reason why I used local 3rd party wallet is only for my own convenience, and Im not storing huge amount of ETH anyway.

Actually many of wallet are secure because we keep our peivate key with and team of MEW dont have access to our wallet.
But when we do dangerous thing like entering private in phising link, it makes it not safe anymore and probably your wallet is going to be hacked. So safe or not depend how we threat the key.

Wallet that online is all vulnerable to counterfeit by bad intentional person that wants to get token of others easily without thinking what the owner situation. Situation of cancer, or whatsoever that the person situation. I actually experience before that my wallet was hacked. I remember that I did not enter it to phishing site but in a browser that I did not notice it was not safe.
To make your wallet safe make sure everything is right before entering the private. Once you enter your private key that is the time to lose or still safe. So make your wallet safe by your private key.

Even MEW itself has explained in its website that MEW is only a service interface to display user assets and assist in a transaction. there is no responsibility on the part of it related to loss of user assets.
So I think the security system offered is also standardization of security in general. For better security, depending on the users themselves how they keep assets safe.
But there is no other choice if we want to transact with the token ERC20 must use MEW which I know is the only service.

Hello guys , I would like to ask this from more veteran people here if MEW or shall we say myetherwallet.com is safe or not..?
Some of my colleagues said that myetherwallet is not safe because there maybe some intruders with wide and depeest knowledge
When it comes to security bypass could get access of your account at myetherwallet? Please
Help me answer this if mew is safe or not.. Is this a user fault to expose their private key or there is.someone could really
Access our account .. using security bypass? Please thank you.

Now that you have asked this question I would advice you to take a look at the URL when you tried to access you MEW. If you can see MYETHERWALLET [US] then you are good to go, unlock your wallet anytime you want it's safe. But if there is none, then be careful you might just lost all your wealth. For me, I save the link in my email to be safe.

MyEtherWallet is not a wallet. I suggest to everyone and each of you READ what is written in slides when you open either MEW or Mycrypto interface. Everything is written there. MEW is an interface, it is not the wallet, bank or anything like that.

Both MEW and Mycrypto is safe enough for me. I don't usually use json and I never use private key, I use Metamask connected to the Mycrypto for my daily use and Trezor with Mycrypto for the stagger solution.
MyCrypto,, This is the first time I've heard this name because I've been using MEW to store my ETH and token erc20. Waiting for the positive reviews from people who already use MC,, maybe I will consider switching to MC,,

I'm using Mycrypto. The enthusiastic team who build MyEtherWallet shift to mycrypto. They will develop it and improve, already implemented Shapeshift API so that you can exchange your tokens in the Mycrypto interface, new features like autogas calculations, no Gwei/gas limit adjustment, Gas price implementations and many more. MyEtherWallet is the past, Mycrypto is the future.

maybe the problems are we cannot save our private keys in the safe place. because I see that there are a people which copy paste their private keys in everywhere without knows how if other people see this and I guess their tokens can be stolen by that people. I've been using mew too and I don't have any bad experience and I don't want to have it because I want to protect my tokens so I can sell it when the price increases higher.

Yes that is the familiar reason why myetherwallet can be easily hack by hacker.
By spreading false website and phising link to any site include through email or even telegram, hackers hope us make mistake by copas the key in that link. Please always double check the link before copas key because the private key is the key of our storing.

Yes, the myetherwallet website is still safe but just make sure the website your logging in is the right one because there are a lot of phishing sites that have been circling around and one of which really really looks like the original one. Be very careful with that and bookmark the correct one to minimize you from logging in the fake ones.

I agree, for safe use of MEW, it's enough to check the name of the site at the entrance. Literally about 6 months ago, my friend went to a phishing site and stole about 5 ETH. He was very upset, but learned the lesson. There are also ways for offline access to MEW about which you can learn more on the open spaces of the network.

I think the safest way to store your coins is a hardware wallet if someone is investing a money in crypto should have one of those, Ledger Nano S is pretty good, it uses MEW for ERC20 tokens as an interface.

i think, not possible as long they cant able to crack your private key they cant do nothing to have an access into your wallet which I can say that MEW is safe for now. If you have seen the recent hack of Etherdelta. Some people do make false assumptions that MEW isn't safe because most people did able to lose their tokens because hacker did have an access to their mew but the truth is that its being accessed because hacker used DNS type of hacking which if you have logged in on the exchange without log-outing your account then for sure you would really lose your tokens.

Its purpose is to store ethereum and erc-20 tokens, it doesn't make it safe because of that  Roll Eyes
It is safe because no one can crack your private key and steal your funds, unless you have keylogger or someone phish you, but that is other story.

Looking from which side on this look. If you are observing safety on your personal computer, then you are doing well. Everywhere is not safe!

If you do not have the need to trade but merely invest the hold for a long time, then I do not think it should contain cryptos on MEW because it is not safe, can be attacked at any time. You should store crypto in a cold wallet such as a Ledge Nano S or any offline wallet that is safer than storing it on an e-wallet online. And when you want to sell, please send to MEW to conduct transactions on exchange floors.
