you control your emotion or the emotion controls you.

you can only HODL, if you can control your emotion like fear and greed.

people who are controled by there emotion, are not able to HODL.

I believe holding bitcoin for a long time is not an act of greed instead it is a strategy. Upon investing bitcoin the dream to be successful is with it and to be prosperous one needs a lot of planning and strategy.

I agree 100%. Holding bitcoins is one of the best strategy to all investors. However it will be best to learn how to sell at high price before it go a deep dive to maximize profit. Usually bitcoin will go a deep dive after a fork.  Grin

Actually holding is one of the easiest things for people who can't control their emotion because they can lock their coins away and not pay attention to the price. Holding isn't indicative of greed, otherwise all desire to earn money is indicative of greed.

No it's not. Holding 100% of your investment in any one asset is not even a good strategy, let alone one of the best.

I wouldn't call it greedy, it's more about investing your money to bitcoins in hopes it'll increase higher as the value goes up through time, or not. It's your own business with what you do with your coins, as long as it's for a good financial purpose.

With the rise in the currency, a lot of people are not willing to sell a currency, has been holding the currency prices are rising, however, this is just a bubble, next year there will be a sharp decline.

I don't think investing anything. You have to control your risk and invest in bitcoin, and you should have your own investment plan, as planned as possible.

For me holding bitcoin is not being greedy. It's more like saving rather than being greedy. Holding bitcoin and waiting for the right time so sell or spend is being wise and not being greedy.

Holding bitcoin is NOT being greedy. Holding a bitcoin is just like investing. Holding it for long makes you gain a bigger profit. Holders are just being smart. Also, bitcoiners have their own reasons why they wanted to hold their bitcoins for a long time, and we must not judge them that they are being "greedy" because of that. Besides, who wants to make their investment crash all of a sudden?  No one wanted it to happen.

Tge definition of greed doesn't really apply here. We're just hopefulnto make our lives better through bitcoin. It's the same as working hard to get a promotion on your day job. What's wrong with wanting the best return from your capital right?

Some people say BTC is undervalued, some people say it is just a bubble which will end very bad for most investors.
Personally, i really don't care what is the case. I believe that a serious investor should consider the profit and risk most of all.
If they decide to wait for a better profit then they should understand that they make their investment riskier.
Unfortunately, i don't own any bitcoin (i wish i had!) but if i had some i would withdraw/spend some of them (at least at the level of my initial investment). This way i would have nothing to lose actually in case everything goes to hell...
By the way, i found an interesting article about different options to spend your bitcoins and buy stuff
