Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?
Holding bitcoin is a business investment, a good one.
The word "Greed" is not to be found in business dictionary.
In fact, here is what the greed means in the business world:
“Greed is but a word jealous men inflict upon the ambitious.” — Marcus Licinius Crassus

No, just as it isn't greedy to hold onto cash or corporate stocks.

that might be right because what you expect to earn for long term period might be significantly lower due to the fact that there is nothing impossible in crypto these days when we talk about its prices, but for me it's just a gamble not being greedy, who else don't want to have a higher profit for their investment?

Having bitcoin and holding you doesnt make you a greedy person but it is being smart, you just want to hold it for your future because it will be more massive than today's value if you keep holding it.

Do not hold it and wait, a sign of a long-term regime without participation in the auction, you can but more importance it goes all the same in ico projects, there can soon the implementation go into a plus. Smiley

It's a big NO just like holding your stocks and wait for the proper time to sell it in a very right time where its price is high. I think that's a very basic principle when you hold stock because you want to earn real profit in the proper time.

You won't have 100% of people agree on anything in life and bitcoin is no different. You may have a large subset group of people hodling and speculating on bitcoin but you will always have players to keep the market moving. That is how I view the markets anyways based on what I have seen the past few months.

Holding your bitcoin to maximize the profit or income that you will get is not being greedy but being wise in making that decision. Holding your bitcoin takes a risk because you do not know when will the value of bitcoin will rise up or falls down. Bitcoin is uncertainty that is why we should maximize its worth.

Probably to some not really,   but Ive experienced holding bitcoin until it reaches a certain amount so I could use the money.  But when it started to rise in December,  I became greedy.  Converting to fiat money never came to because I wanted more.

i think its kinda a little greedy. as we know that bitcoin value is so unpredictable, it may straight up to the moon but comes down in an instance. if we keep holding up bitcoin, the profit that we got may come to dust. the best way to me is making action of taking profit in a high price, and if it is necessary, we can bay back in a lower price. that is how i maximize my profit.

No, I think holding bitcoin is an investment built in a concept of it will be worth more in the future than what it is today. I believe it is wise considering the recent increase in value which makes bitcoin a profitable asset. Being greedy means getting something at a expense of others, which clearly not the case of bitcoin.

The saying is exactly correct that greed is a curse and I too personally agree with the saying. Holding BTC is good and it becomes best when u already knew that valuation is going to hike in the future. Everyone wants to earn a lot of money and in very short span of time. So there is nothing wrong in holding bitcoin, Offcouse it will give you the profit but holding it for very long might back fire because no one can predict future and in the future the BTC will be centralized also then the things might be different so hold it for short time and when you feel the sufficient profit, just sell it.

Holding bitcoin is not greediness. Everyone has the right to keep bitcoin. It wont do any bad to others if you hold bitcoin. In fact everyone will benefit if more investors are holding bitcoin. More investments more chances of earning a lot.

I do not think, bitcoin holding is a way to get profit and we need not hesitate to put our money into bitcoin, if one day we want to hold and hope to get profit of course this can not be said greedy.

If you hold bitcoins why it will affect others, I am not understanding.

People thought bitcoin is an asset and in future, they can make a profit. So holding bitcoins is not a greedy.

I don't think that it something greedy to hold on bitcoins. As holding on bitcoins for  a longer period of time will bring in profits for the investor so it is not greedy to hold the coins. But trying to grab out someone other person's wealth can be considered as greedy.
