No it isn't. It would be like saying that any other investment you are "holding" (because you are waiting for the right time to sell, trade, whatever) is greedy (being it the stock market, properties, etc).
Unless you are just just buying BTC to prevent others from having it, then that would qualify as greedy.

It is not greedy to hold bitcoin but many people do not hold it for long time anyway. It is very difficult to hold bitcoin for a long time as it has hit some good price points not so long ago making many people sell. You have to a very patient and smart person in order to resist the desire of selling and making money. Bitcoin is often used as a store a value as many people do not believe in FIAT and consider it worthless for their investment, so they buy bitcoin and hold it. These people are not greedy but smart and we should all learn from them if we want to be successful.

If you understand the existence of supply and demand, you will understand that holding bitcoins does not act greedily, this is a good way to store values and not limit the income there is always a trade every count per second. Cool

It is true. So holding bitcoin as an investment will not disappoint. Do not regret it. But all risks must be fully understood, so as not to lose. This is the digital era, many are turning from conventional systems, so take this good opportunity to still exist.

Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?

I think it's good to hold until there is a substantial spike in the price that you would be satisfied with. It's safe to sell and make a profit unless you like to take risks and possibly lose it all -- like the saying goes "a bird in the hand is worth 10 in the bush".

Also, it pays to be greedy but not too greedy! like the saying goes: " Pigs get fat, but Hogs gets slaughtered" .

I think it is not greedy to hold your bitcoin because first of all, it is one of the main ways to acquire bitcoins and to earn profit. And I also think that as a person buy bitcoins, he reserves the right to do whatever he wants to his bitcoin. Greed is having multiple accounts in this forum and joining multiple campaigns for the sake of gaining bitcoins. It is good to hold but you just have to make sure that you have set a target value or you might end up in loss.

It's possible to hold bitcoin to make it profitable because the price of bitcoin getting higher and technique in this month. It's our strategy to hold bitcoin you don't say that it's greedy. We has more strategy to get more our bitcoin such as by holding it for a short time and for a long time period, by trading and gambling. But trading and gambling is so risky, you don't know if your bitcoin will incoming

Holding bitcoin is not a greed is it an investment a strategical investment. All of us has the freedom to own something if its in a right way. It's non of our business if someone holding goods or any valuable thing, he has the right to own. Greedy! I don't think so. The one who says greedy to someone by holding to long bitcoin are just envy and jealous.😎

There's nothing greedy about holding Bitcoin. Sometimes you hold it, sometimes you use it.

What's important to remember is that the market is still young and using crypto is still tricky. BTC will be worth more once this improves, which is why in 2018 is still makes sense to HODL.

I don't find it being greedy people wants to hold bitcoin it is because they know that the more you hold it longer the value will be more worth it, if you believe in bitcoin you won't think the negative way and you can always check the value if you are doubtful..As you can see if it is really falling you always have your choice you can sell it if you want to so you won't end up nothing.

Those who will invest late will regret much. There is no harm in holding at current levels. Keep taking out some profits at regular intervals.

I think it's not. people who hold bitcoin is waiting for the price to increase. But in that reason we don't tell it as being greedy but rather a good investors. sometimes we just need to hold our bitcoin because no one want to sell their bitcoin in a lowest value.

It cant be called as "greedy" since it is your own investment to begin with. And to invest is to gain, holding bitcoin is part of the business. So nothing is wrong with that it isn't greedy at all.

"Greedy" is a strong word and for me there is still a thin line between being greedy and being a good and smart business man. Holding on of many business startegies of a lot of people, this helps them gain profits out of their investments, businesses or stocks so for me that's not being greedy at all. It's all part of the game. but when you are in a situation that you know you would want something that you know you shouldn't or couldn't have but still force it, that being greedy for me.

It is not greedy. Greedy means that we will do any ways for us to get what we want. Like many scammers, they really want to earn many money that's why they are tricking and confusing many people all over the internet. The reason why we are holding bitcoins is because we want to become successful in the future.

It will be more appropriate to say to keep investing the profits back into the bitcoin as the prices are really good to purchases. Also holding doesn’t mean that you are taking it off from the market, holding means that you just want to wait to get more and more profit. Just like some property which you are holding doesn’t make you a greedy person, than why would you think about this?

With the recent collapse of the price the word "greedy" is suddenly the less appropriate for a large number of reasons. You could now better use the word "crazy", "wise", "brave", "heroic", "faithful", "irresponsible" - according to your best interpretation of the act of hodling when the coin gets dumped.
