Nope not every ICO is a scam but most of them are scam and also many of the ICO are going to fail as they don't seem to be promising and are just trying to get some hands on the money. If you want to invest in ICOs make sure that the coin your are investing in is legit and can be good investment by researching about the team, their cap value and read about that coin just to make clear that the coin in legit and has potential to grow.

Everybody keeps on saying scam scam scam for all of these ICO's. 90% of them are crap, yes. BUT there is the 10% of them, like vector, who are absolutely not scams. They are good projects that will really help the crypto community grow and its not fair to call an ICO a scam until you have actually researched it and you are sure it is a scam.

Just my two satoshis...
Everybody talks about scam and fake things. People's mentality is that if its not popular or reliable it is a scam. But all i know is that people may have had experience scamming that is why they think like that. We must approach them in a different way so that we can convince them that this is not a scam. We must provide proofs and evidences. One thing is for sure, this is not a SCAM!

If every ICO is a scam, why do you think people still invest and it still exist? There are good ones but the thing is, scammy ICO's dominated the world of crypto and it change people's mind on how they view it. Don't blame ICO  but blame scammers instead.

In my opinion only little bit ICO will scam, many project actually legit but these project many failed because so many ICO and so many competitor. So very important to make analysis and looking for review before jump and make investment in ICO. And learn about the aim of of the project and know detail personality of the team is should be done before make investment in ICO.

I agree. A lot of good companies' token may go underwater first. Even for neo, it is below its ico prices for a long period of time before it start to show that it is profitting. Long term is for investing.

I think not the ICO is a scam but the one who is running the project. Because of being greedy person that might bring him into beast. And it can be denied that money is very catchy in the eyes, and anyone might get tempted on it. So it is the best way not to invest to much in ICO especially when the person running this campaign are new in crypto.

In my opinion, i think not all ICOs are scam, there are plenty of ICOs offering great deals to community and to its specific targets. Different ICOs offers different deals or service to different specific targets, so i think it depends on the success rate and the perspective of the people saying whether an ICO is a scam or not. But for most ICOs that i know they are not a scam. Just saying not all ICOs are scam but let's all be very careful, i don't want to be a victim of a scam so might as well watch out.

I think you are wrong, not 90% of ICO are scam. My thoughts that half of ICO's are scam. It still needs to do researches about team and advisors, and project must be working at least at demo version.

99.9 is scam Angry

That percentage I already think too much believe that about 70% at most the other 30% are serious companies!

I agree! 99.9% a scam? Seriously?? No way.

What is your basis anyway to get 99.9%  are scam in the ICO? It can't be deny that most of the project ico was scam, but I don't believed its only 0.1% area the ICO which is legit. Why don't you try to check the coinmarketcap first before you delivered this kind of deceiving thoughts to anyone here in the forum.

I also believe that the percentage of fraudulent ICOs is much lower than 90. Approximately 50-70. However, this is enough to consider the problem overdue. It looks like it should be done by state structures at the place of registration of such companies.

It is normal for some ICOs to fail but hardly can you see an ICO with a good team not thriving to give their investors the best. Also, some investors are always too impatient to watch the project grow and as far as I know Rome was not built in a day and even Bitcoin did not just grow to become $7000 plus in a day.

Patience is all that matters as long as you did your research before partaking in the project. By the way, you saying 99.9% ICOs are scam, then I wonder where the one on your signature stands in the picture.

Most startups will fail especially in this space. I would be very weary of investing into ICOs. You need to not only look at the team but also the product they are creating. Judge for yourself if you think this thing your buying into will be adopted or not.

This is correct, but they're not scams. Scam is more like frauding people and getting their Money. If one startup will fait, we can't call it as scam. We directly call is as failure or fail.

For ico projects, we should be careful to pick the right one.

Definitely not all ico is scam that's like many people mentioned above that almost 99% of ico is scam, so if you want to invest in any ico here in cryptoccurrency, search first for the background of the project and if you notice that there are many investors maybe is not scam because many people trust in that ICO.
