Pyramid scheme and you already spammed the same shit on another thread.

Where would MrSam get the funds to pay everyone who was mining the whole round, earning 1.12 x their normal share?
It wouldn't require additional funds. Currently the BTC for a found block is divided equally between the total shares submitted. If you submitted 5% of the shares for that round, you get 5% of the payout (minus the 1% fee). More total shares just means less payout per share. Those miners who received the 12% bonus would simply be treated as if they had 12% more shares - meaning that if they produced 20,000 shares during a round they would be treated as if they produced 22,400 shares and the rewards would be distributed based upon this new calculation.

How about this...
The early shares (under the 50% mark, to be determined after block is found) are weighted at 0.88% and the later shares at 1.12%. What's the flaw in this thinking? Cuz I'm just typing out my ass- ets here.

80 hours... are you freaking kidding me? This is just too painful to watch.
Just a very unlucky day in general. Even big pools are running into 6-10 million share rounds all of a sudden.

I was wondering about that, but couldn't find info about it anywhere. Thanks!
Edit: But it doesn't look like it can be easily accessed via Mibbit, as Freenode is not registered with them. That makes accessing the IRC require the hassle of running an IRC client. We'll see if I can bring myself past the laziness barrier.

How did you select the freenode server? I don't see it on the list.

One forum thread but you still spam that link in the majority of your posts to other threads so don't be too quick to judge. Good luck to you guys.

I'm loving the tweaking proposals for weighted shares. Not much to add to what has been suggested already, only to say that if it is possible to monitor which miners have been connected and for how long, then allowed for any downtime for connection problems, the miners who have been connected the longest get a % more increase than those who have only been mining a short time. Some kinda sliding % scale in an agreed boundary.
Shares is much easier to base it on than time spent connected and mining, just throwing this into the mix. BRAINSTORM!
If it can be agreed upon what scale to offer (an extra 0.1% - 1%, or whatever) then go from there. As to where the funding would come from, I have no problem with another % (again to be agreed upon) being taken from the block reward and distributed accordingly.

We don't really want to encourage reverse-pool-hopping, either, but I think this idea is a step in the right direction.
Since it has been estimated that pool hopping can deprive dedicated miners of about 12% of their income, what about this:
Every miner who was connected when the last block was found has each of their shares in the new round count as 1.12 shares as long as they remain connected. If they disconnect for more than 10 minutes any future shares they submit during that round do not receive the bonus. This provides incentive to continue mining until the block is found AND to keep mining through the next round.
10 minutes is way too harsh a metric. What about the poor sod subject to a power outage? For example, I had something like 90 minutes of no workers online on one of my accounts last night because we were reorganizing power feeds at the data center and moving my boxes from one room to another.

There has been a lot of this ponzi, pyramid scheme floating about... considering it is a pool within a pool I pledge this... I each month I will distribute the Minipool estimated reward evenly within the team. I will also provide screenshots of the transactions. If you are not a 24/7 active miner than please do not join my mini pool because this will not be fair for others and you will be wasting your timeIf your MH/s is low dont worry as long as your a 24/7 active miner you will get an even share of the Minipool estimated reward Join me here https://madtea.triplemining.com/register

Yup, I thought so Just some douche trying to recruit a bunch of hashing power so that one day he can flip a switch and either aim it at solo or another pool, And get himself a nice big fat gh/sec speed. Whilst all the "miners" are just doing his work for him, Whilst he sits back and watches Is there any actual proof of this or just trust in one forum moderator?
