can you add an sms system to update miners when a block is found or when a miner fails?  Smiley

This would encourage hoppers even more, which is the (a) problem at the moment as it is. Why endorse this habit?

i'm not. all i wanted is to be updated whenever a block is found, if it has negative effects on the pool then do not implement it. i'm just thinking about the greater good of the pool.

We have a new jackpot winner!

Congratulations to dirtyminer

We're a day late with our jackpot, our apologies for that. However, what is nice to know is that this is the very first payout that has been made 100% automated.  Although we always used a script to find our winners completely at random, the payouts are also automated as of today.  We will no longer be announcing when the jackpot is falling on the site, as we've automated the last part in the chain, we don't know when the jackpot falls!

All jackpot winners are announced, like our found blocks on our twitter feed: follow http://twitter.com/triplemining

Know that our code is selecting only those winners that are loyal to our pool: in other words, only those that mine for 24/7 will be candidates for winning.  Also, we have a lot of anti-cheating code in place, so if you try to cheat - know that our system automatically excludes you Smiley

And for those on irc: feel free to join #triplemining on freenode.

Its real sad to see the hash rate of this pool decline so rapidly.

I joined just at the right time when we had that fantastic run of luck and found some blocks very quickly. I made a few bitcoins out of it and all was peachy.

However of late the luck has been terrible, another long block ( 10 days now ) has seen me leave due to i simply cant afford to be mining for 10 days and only getting .5btc reward ( probably much less now ).

Its probably not the bitcoin ethos if you like to pull out but I gotta be getting regular income to supplement my electric, nothings cheap in the UK.

I hope this block gets solved quickly so TP can move on and hopefully have a decent run again to restore a good hashrate.

Dear fellow miners,

Don’t miss out on the great opportunity to participate in our Flash Mob Mining Event and make a little bit of mining history.

The event will take place on Sunday August 21st at 9 PM (GMT).

We know we are a small pool, and we know we have been mining for an uneasy long period of time to find that block, so we understand most of you guys are mining somewhere else.

At the same time we are just like you, passionate mining enthusiasts who believe in the future of bitcoins and mining pools. So it breaks our heart to see our cool little non-profit pool lose its battle against the difficulty.

You, as a member of our group of close to 3000 miners, are able to make the difference. Doing a little bit of math, we figured if we stand together as a group and Flash Mob this block it will drop in no time.

How to participate?

The Flash Mob Mining Event will take place on Sunday August 21st at 9 PM (GMT).

Join us on our irc channel #triplemining on Freenode.

Configure your mining client to eu.triplemining.com on port 8344.

Watch us break all mining records when you and all our other group members Flash Mob that block!

What’s in it for you?

Apart from helping your favorite mining pool crack a hell of a block we will give away a Radion HD 6990 Graphics Card for each 10 blocks found until Midnight (GMT) on Sunday August 21st.

Progress can be followed through Twitter as we tweet each time a block is found. Join us on Twitter @triplemining.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email and thank you for being part of the triplemining group of miners.
