Monero is the best for sure. Other may have some other better specialities but Monero is like Bitcoin of privacy coins.

We all say that Bitcoin is old and have some disadvantages but we all know that Bitcoin is the king. It is similar to Monero in privacy coins area.

HUSH is my best pick, it's the only one that didn't take of 10-20x as al the other anon coin, and according to my research is one of those with a very active developement and with different feautures that gives to it a kind of competitive advantage in the long run

Almost all private coins are very similar to each other. But it seems to me that Monero remains the leader among all of them. And the price and cap of this coin is now the highest among them as well (excluding Dash).

Biggest potential right now I would say Anoncoin (ANC)

Active development, small marketcap, one of the earliest if not the earliest privacy coin.

It just did not have its boom yet, but make no mistake, its coming soon.

Nope, sorry, has a rich list: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/anc/#!rich

When you send coins to me, I can take your address and look into the blockchain how much coins you have, with whom you transacted, when etc...

so no, not private at all...

NAV coin is my personal favorite... Dev team is great along with their wallet app and their marketing is finally gaining some traction.

I almost invested in Monero when it was around 8$ a share but I was busy and life got in the way. Luckily Spectre came on my radar and I was able to invest in that. I'm not going to argue which of these is the better coin from a privacy standpoint because I think arguments can be made for either but I think both are ahead of the competitors by a little or a lot depending on who is being compared.

With Spectre you can invest in a developer driven, privacy technology first - marketing 2nd (or third or fourth) crypto currency with a market capitalization around 100 million.

A good friend of mine said to me last week "I don't invest in things I invest in people." When I first invested in XSPEC I was invested in a thing. Over the last month I have spent quite a bit of time on the Spectre Slack channel (http://slack.spectreproject.io/). Now I have a much better sense of the community surrounding XSPEC and the small but extremely devoted development team and my investment feels like it is in the people running the project.

Have a question about XSPEC? Do what I do and ask it on Slack. You will promptly receive a thorough, thoughtful explanation with a good chance of it coming from the lead developer jbg. If you're interested in privacy coins you would be doing yourself a disservice by not at the very least investigating what Spectre - XSPEC has to offer.

Now Monero is the best coin among private coins. It has already become very popular, but it still has a very large potential for growth. But I also like the coin XSPEC

Hush required trusted setup same as Zcache. If anyone saved the private key (Which must be destroyed, so you just choose to trust them right?) proves can be manipulated.

Not to mention other 'privacy' coins with public blockchain (Verge. Not even Tor implementation is right. Nodes aren't inside of the network.).

Many privacy coins have community which don't really care about privacy. Few days ago I tried checking few facts in particular chat room about their coin, but no one had anything to say. They just continued their discussion about mining.

From privacy coins I checked besides Monero, I like Cloak and Spectrecoin. It is only that CloakCoin code inspection takes quite a long time, and not sure if Enigma was the right choice. Building beast like that from scratch is definitely a challenge, but it will have bugs (Like any other  project.) and it will take time until one can consider it to be a robust, reliable solution. I could be wrong, though I speak this from my experience as a software developer. I would rather stay with Tor, which is an upstream grown-up project maintained by highly skilled individuals, and with many, many already fixed bugs.

That coin uses Tor code from 2014 (Which is full of security bugs/issues.), and they didn't consider it is a priority to fix that, because 'developer who is responsible for that' had better things to do, implementing DeepSend.

Public blockchain. Number of developers not known (It could be all one guy, and rest does marketing), closed source, Tor exit nodes, no privacy anywhere.

But yeah, I know, I understand. Airdrops.

Spectrecoin is one to keep an eye on, especially right now.  It had a spectacular run late last month, and has taken a bit of a breather since then.  But don't let that fool you: XSPEC has some exciting developments coming up in the next few days, and soon it will be off to the races again.  There is a wallet update (v1.3.4) coming out early next week, along with a sleek new website built by members of the Spectrecoin community, and there is an expanded marketing campaign underway.

The best part is, when you peel back the hype and look under the hood, this coin has substance like few other privacy coins.  Between its existing and upcoming features, it has both network privacy and transactional anonymity locked down.  It has ultra fast transaction speeds and the fees are negligible.  This coin is poised to be the go-to privacy coin for replacing everyday cash.  It could easily reach $50 this year, yet right now you can still get it for less than $5.

Come say "hi" to our vibrant and growing community on slack: http://slack.spectreproject.io/

Please check out the significance of Spectrecoin in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659097.msg27108855#msg27108855

Worried about my trust rating? I am too. Bitcointalk users ‘Lauda’ and ‘gmaxwell’ have abused their superior powers in trust system to align their views with the ‘correct views.’ In no legal system in any jurisdiction do we have a definition for what Bitcoin is, they do not have the power to tell us what it is based on the rule of law.

Monero is trusted and has been tested and used for years in the darkwebs.
Darkwebs got seized, btc got seized, but the XMR? never..

Anything other than this coin has not tested itself and are just buy the rumors..

One of the less coins that will survive the market crash is XMR

Zcash and Spectrecoin
Google it: Edward Snowden and Zcash (read what he said about privacy coins)
And about Spectrecoin (privacy and anonymoys with high tech), a low marketcap with so big potential/power to Pump fast, the price can get a target betwen US$ 50,00~100,00 or more this year

The biggest player now, in my opinion, is Monero.
However, xspec and sumokoin are expected to success in 2018. Xspec is very active and their social network is expanding. Both are expected to be enlisted on big exchanges soon, so prices gonna boom.

Yes spectrecoin, 2018 is going to be big for Xspecs. Low marketcap low supply and lots of updates coming, price $4 is cheap at this market. Smiley
