Good list. But I had the money to invest I would do it with DeepOnion since the Devs will soon release DeepProtocol (that means stealth address) and it's more interesting than any other coin

My choice: DASH (DASH), Monero (XMR), VERGE (XVG). They are in my portfolio for a long time, I am sure of their growth.

I have several favorites - Monero, ZCash, PIVX. It seems to me that these coins are very promising. If the crypto industry continues to develop, people will want to hide their incomes and payments so they will use... private coins))

I think privacy coins are very important in crypto, and hold the true nature and intention of this space. I believe that 2018 will be a big year for privacy based projects.

If you had $10k to invest, where would you spread it in privacy coins and why? Which ones do you think will truly succeed and stand the test of time?

Some options to work with:

Monero
Zcash
ZenCash
Verge
Cloak

My vote goes to Monero, but I'm really liking ZenCash.

ZenCash has a low supply and was recently hyped up on the Palm Beach Confidential newsletter and is a full blown privacy platform. Monero seems to me like a very strong currency with excellent standards for privacy, and a relatively low supply. I can see both of these coins in the $1000+ price.

I recently read that the private crypto-currencies are not so private as they say. I don't remember what the interest was, but neither monero nor Zcash were even 90% private.

But there is another side to the coin. All states can agree and impose a ban on such technologies because a lot of money can be laundered and financed by terrorism and much more. So you can burn with such coins.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on Pre-ICO stage right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

If you choose between private coins, then my choice would fall on Monero (XMR), it's very tempting now the price for it.

In general you are correct most of the "Privacy coins" are lying sack of shit scammers with nothing more than forked bitcoin alts code and lies to back them up and them there is Cryptonote.

Among all the above coins, I would like to single out only one, this is Monero. She is the best of the list, the most promising of private coins.

My vote also goes to Monero. It's the flagship of the privacy coins. Verge is also very popular, but Zcash can be better than that in the future.

Funny thing that Verge got hacked and their devs don't understand their situation clearly or they don't take it seriously.

You will be able to transfer eth anonymously so most of hte privacy coins are pointless.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439901.0

LOL not sure why should be cryptocurrencies with untraceable ledger pointless because someone made an token on the ethereum asset platform.     No second layer private solution will work good against blockchain analysis.

well i think that in this moment it's risky invest in privacy coin, the goverments are scared expecially by these cryptos because they allow criminal riciclation, it's impossible to follow the money on the blockchain, so you can give money to the terrorist with no problem. they will probabilly try to fight these coin and shut them down. said that in my opinion the best are: Monero, Zcash, ZenCash, Verge and dash

There are a large number of privacy coins so hard to know which ones will be the top winners in long term. Owning more than fewer may be the way to go.

Maybe privacy coins have no future...
This section of crypto will be regulated harder than other, or banned completely, govs dont want that we "the small people" can do anonym transactions, either we cant do transactions which grant anonymity or anything esle..
