From 0.1 to 1 BTC in 6 months with Day-Trading

I'm going to start a trading journal. My goal is to reach 1 BTC starting from 0.1 (a bit less), trading altcoins with a short-term outlook.
I'm a professional trader and, even if cryptocurrency is a new world to me, I have decided to dedicate 6 months to test this market with a small amount.
If I succeed, I will include cryptocurrency in my investment portfolio and I will publish my strategy.

I think that it is impossible to reach that amount of money, you all know that altcoins have been decreasing a lot in the last months, it is very difficult to make a good amount of money, and specially if you want to make a x10 of your actual amount of bitcoins.
Dont think that i am trying to put you on the ground, it is possible if you have a nice strategy and some previous knowledge about how does the market works, like if you did some forex trading on the past, or if you traded with stocks.
Anyway, good luck with your project, i hope that you can reach that sum, i will keep the track of this thread.

Hello. This is a very good idea to show some of us who are new to the crypto world, that such things can be done. Might I ask you a few questions?

How much experience do you have in trading cryptocurrency?
What platform are you using for trades?
Any advice for someone like myself that wishes to learn how to simply make a trade?

I have made a few demo accounts with trading sites, and the one I have been using to get the hang of it is testnet.bitmex.

I do not think that is possible with day trading. You may achieve that goal if you  hold  bitcoin and you are lucky enough not to sell when bitcoin slow down in prices.

Interesting project,this post is just loke an thriller and action movie books that we will be reading for the next 6 months.hope your pen ink is enough to finish this story.but i doubt that you will able to make it 0.1 btc to 1btc in a 6 months term knowing that alts wasnt doing better this few months.

You can absolutetely achieve your goal. Daytrading is very profitable and so far i can't imagine something more profitable than this.
I started by the end of june with about 800$ of Investment - right now my portfolio is worth a bit more than 4000$.

Have fun trading & good luck with your strategies. I can only suggest you not to jump in P&D groups and avoid coins with low market cap. Try trading vs. tether for easier profits when BTC is rising.

I live off Forex trading, I quit my job 3 years ago. It's been 11 years since I first started trading.
I'm new to cryptocurrency and I believe that technical analysis is very different compared to other markets, that's why I'm using an algorithm to trade.
It is hard to achieve x10, but I'm with only 0.1BTC on the market, it allows me to increase the risk from time to time. When and if I will reach 1BTC, I will slow down and protect my money first as Warren Buffett suggests

Hi OP, very interesting, what method will you use? technical analysis or fundemantal?
One problem with day trading is, I think, the high transaction fee that might eat into your pnl.

I would be very interested  in knowing/learning how you achieved such profits. I have tried everything, alas, to no avail. I am thinking of quitting and saving myself some funds and stress, but If I can find someone that wouldn't mind showing me how they get theirs, I might persist.

How much experience do you have in trading cryptocurrency? Zero   I have started a couple of months ago just to study the market. I came to the conclusion that technical analysis is not that helpful like in other markets, so I'm trading with an algorithm that I use for indices.

What platform are you using for trades? Bittrex

Any advice for someone like myself that wishes to learn how to simply make a trade? I think that trading with cryptocurrencies is harder than trading with stocks or currencies. If you are not familiar with any kind of trading, I would suggest to avoid day trading and try the classic "buy and hold", focusing on a longer time horizon.

Also, I would suggest to listen to anyone's strategy but then apply yours
