Saw that, but I have no idea how to use it, was hoping for something a little more user friendly.  Or maybe some instructions on how to use it.

update my post with the steps needed to run it (on Chrome).

dabs - you don't know what you're talking about.  Even if you broke ECC you couldn't steal those coins.

Presumably because you would still need to reverse the address hash to find out the public key for that address, whereas the cold wallet has made several spends already and so its public key is - uh - public?

Ahh, yes, that part too. If a cold wallet address has spent any coins, then it's public key is public. Otherwise it's not public and much much harder to "crack". I understand this part, but most people don't realize there are a few more steps to generating the public key from the private key, and the generation of the base58check bitcoin version of the wallet import format.

I've played around with jackjack's pywallet and made a wallet.dat file with lots of transactions, but only if I could get the public key (which is published in the blockchain). Otherwise, you can't. In any case, you can't spend them without the private key.

dooglus stop ignoring one of your largest investors! check your pm inbox or email!!

I check both regularly.  There's nothing from any large investor.  The large investors generally talk to me via IM.

I'm going to stop responding to your FUD unless you can come up with something a little more convincing than "my friend said...".

any hints as to what constitutes a large investor?

Not really.  All I'm saying is that it's not unusual for people to want to talk to me in IM before they feel safe making an investment.

Can someone please help me understand the states on the chat page

bets
18,439,305

wagered
81,013

(profit)
1,739.263

So this means altogether 81,013 bitcoins have been wagered on the site, and out of this 1,700+ has been won by the house or the players?

you can see on the left side of the stats that the line you are talking about start with "site", so this is the site(house) profit. you can also check the stats tab to see the JD stats

Thanks BRules.

I have a suggestion. Have users enter a Bitcoin address for emergencies and have this address displayed on the site so that the user knows its current. (In case they create a new wallet and forget to update the address)

This emergency address will be used if the server gets raided by the police or something else happens, and the admin will send a release command and all the cold wallet coins will get sent to their rightful owners.

Maybe this is a bad idea but I would feel safer knowing there was my address on the system in case the site has to be closed.

No, that's a great idea, and something I will implement as soon as possible.

The "send a release command and all the cold wallet coins will get sent to their rightful owners" bit can't be automatic, due to the nature of the "cold" in "cold wallet".  I'd have to put the coins from the cold wallet online first, but other than that I like the idea.

Just keep a backup of the wallet outside of the US.

It's a joke because matt also lost BIG by rolling high, and then said he should have played SDice.
