It makes you wonder who responsible.  Anyone who knows Doog even a little bit, knows he will never pay "protection", even if it meant the end of the site.  To me, this is almost certainly a competitor.  I doubt Stunna would do such a thing or coinroll.it, most likely a new competitor.  So what new sites have gone up to compete with Just-Dice and are run by a known scumbag?
Only ones I can think of are letsdice, letdice and um, letsdice.

I have uploaded this bot to github, so anyone wanting to help/improve/change or simply check for coin stealing can check it out here. https://github.com/seuntie900/DiceBot

once again, i would appreciate any input from users (and some donations from the winners Cheesy)

That is very kind =)

We have no proof of who it is.

I'm told it's expensive to mount DDoS attacks.  So what if I put up lots of different load balancers?  Then they'd have to attack them all, costing them more money.

Thanks, but I don't know about that.  Smiley

Probably the smart move is to go with a professional service that can do all this transparently and automatically.  But let's see how this works for now while I look into the available 'proper' options.

I know we are experiencing some downtime but in the mean time I had a question.

Instead of utilizing the unique URL option to access my account I created a username and password. I wanted to obtain the unique URL but do not see the link on the account page (obviously because a username/password was created). How do I obtain the unique URL (if it still exisst which I imagine it would)? In Chrome, I took a peek at the cookies and for the hell of it, I copied the long content string and pasted it after the forward slash with no success. I did this while the site was still up. Is there any way that I can obtain this?

Thanks, but I don't know about that.  Smiley

Once you have set up a username and password, the 'secret URL' no longer works to access your account.

If you visit https://just-dice.com/YOURLONGSTRINGHERE then I believe it will prompt you for your username and password if you have set up a username.

That was dumb.

Each of those URLs creates its own set of cookies, so people found they were in a new account with zero balance and emailed me.

Here's a better idea:

Use https://just-dice.com instead.

It is now set up to pick one of the 6 load balancers at random and so should hopefully get you into the site.  If not, pick a name from www0.just-dice.com to www5.just-dice.com, but be prepared to have to log in to get to your usual account.

when working with cookies, you can set a domain for it and it will work in all the subdomains

I don't know how you define "expensive" when DDoS attacks are usually issued by one command and control thingie, sending the order to hundreds or thousands of his "drones" or "zombies". Unless you "buy" the DDoS from the ones controlling the "horde".

Apparently I missed quite the show.  Dr. Lee had the site down to 5600 BTC profit (he was ahead about 900+ BTC).  Then he martin-failed.  Still walked away with 200+BTC profit.  Still this had gotta hurt:

If more people use the same system, the expected return for casino is still 1%.

The trick for him is knowing when to stop. But like all gamblers, I suspect quitting has never occur to him.

Umm, why is the site down again?

It appears as though the site is once more experiencing problems. Please be patient and as soon as doog is up he will get to work on it Smiley

Sorry guys, for all the trouble. Especially sorry for Dr Lee who was working on making his fortune at the time.

Damn DDoS attacks are going to make me crazy!! Good thing I'm not the one having to work on it.
