saw that my wallet was old this morning after I had to restart it, guess it had shut down which it's never done.
The new wallet was running all day and no updates so I removed the blocks, chainstate, everything except the wallet and biblepay.conf.
Still no block source to sync to. I can ping node.biblepay.org so I'm lost at this point.
I've tried removing, reinstalling, trying the 32 bit version, nothing seems to work. Rosetta @ home works fine but the wallet is a mystery.
Guess I'll try my other computer and see if I have any luck. I like BBP but a guy has to be a IT tech to keep all of this running and setting it all up.
GaryH Maybe I have some progress. I copied the old peers.dat from previously function wallet (version 1.1.1.9) to the datafolder for a new wallet (1.1.2.3). After restart wallet I made reindex (without deleting files from folders) and it started to sync. It looks now Im completely synchronized, but I dont know how long :-) man never knows here. Try it, if you dont have old peers. dat, I can send you mine. I dont know if this was the solution, but I didnt made anything else this Morning. Send feedback if it works. Technically you can just delete peers.dat, and you dont need an addnode in the biblepay.conf. It should sync without those. Most likely you just had to delete banlist.dat. Thats nice but Rob please understand that it doesnt work even when you delete almost all files and generate new via reindex.

Hi Rob,
Tested BBP program seem can't SYNC in first time run that, even tried to add many node.
Please fix it ASAP , exchange wallet also offline as SYNC ERROR, thanks.
I dont believe there is a problem with 1.1.2.2+, just delete the peers.dat, the banlist.dat, the chainstate and the blocks and resync. I believe our two exchanges do have a problem, because of the small governance object size. I believe we have been creating superblocks larger than they will accept. I just contacted both to upgrade, but unfortunately ccex ticket queue is full, so I sent an e-mail.

Thats nice but Rob please understand that it doesnt work even when you delete almost all files and generate new via reindex. It was our seed node (node.biblepay.org) was down. It actually wasn't the wallet. Now new users can still sync on 1.1.2.3 without an addnode and without peers.dat. So I see the reason for the forks forming, now that we have a supermajority on 1.1.2.1+, the large governance object is being honored and I believe this has forked the exchanges. We'll get them to upgrade- its a pity we were not able to schedule a mandatory in the middle of our release schedule, but it is what it is. I'm still looking at our reorg code that marks a block as bad and then crashes during a reorg. Thats why things go south when we have a chain fork. These two issues go hand-in-hand.

Noko, I don't come on and make things up, I see, I did, its done. Re-read the post (about seed nodes - and node.biblepay.org), and try again. And please confirm once you complete. Id appreciate if someone would explain to the user a page back that no coins can be lost unless they are mined on a fork - explain how to track the coins to point A or B.

I had tried a few times this step but not work, still can't sync and stopped 0 block. Tested in Ubuntu 16.04 system.

1) I clean install 1.1.2.2 on Linux 2) put in .biblepaycore folder only 1 file: my wallet.dat 3) ran ./biblepayd -daemon 4) getwalletinfo show me 0 balance for ~ 2 hours 5) decided to run ./biblepay-cli stop 6) ran again: ./biblepayd -daemon 7) see correct balance after few minutes

I copied a wallet.dat from a Pi to the tinker board and it immediately started syncing. Strangely enough when I copied the whole core folder from the same Pi to the tinker it didn't work...
I had a similar problem on one system, to get it syncing again, I had to delete the blockchain. This is because we mark blocks as dirty, and there is no way to reconsider the block once its dirty. Im taking a look at that in addition to the crash during the reorg today. I went ahead and told C-CEX to upgrade in skype (they are not in the office though). I notified SouthXChange via freshdesk.

Fixed - all we needed was a reboot of the seed node.

WCG questions
I increased WCG RAC significantly and it seems to stay with old value for more than one day now.
Questions: 1) when "exec getboincinfo" query WCG site for RAC data ? 2) how WCGRAC is calculated ? is it same as : WCG->MyContributionHsitory->PointsGenerated ?
Its updated once per day at 00:00 UTC. If you have a Sanctuary, I can point you to the grep command to retrieve the source WCG RAC. West said that WCG Points = 2.5 RAC. Honestly best thing to do in this case is the following: - Install BOINC manager with its UI on your machine - Click the Project ROW - Log down the WCG "Recent Average Credit" value - Reconcile this value with the WCG web portal This should equal that mysterious 2.5* conversion. Note that we use BOINC's WCG value for our RAC intake.

every new user/miner add these nodes to config with peerers problem
addnode=node.biblepay.org:40000 addnode=biblepay.inspect.network addnode=node.biblepay-explorer.org
Don't recommend this, the second and third node are both dead, and the first node line isn't needed, it's already hard coded in the wallet. For syncing issues, I would try going to the last pages of http://explorer.biblepay.org:3001/network , finding 1.1.2.1+ IP addresses and then in the console window type: addnode "x.x.x.x:x" "onetry"

There is only one sentence needed with biblepay for addnodes: "If you are going to be syncing outside the US in a DMZ zone, please add an addnode from that country manually" or "if node.biblepay.org is down add node.biblepay-explorer.org" I just tested node.biblepay-explorer and it works: telnet node.biblepay-explorer.org 40000 UP

Since it was down, many users were unable to use the client. this is a huge centralization issue Lesson: if you want to take down bbp only go after 1 node. This would only affect new nodes. After a node connects for the first time, it keeps a list of possible peers so even if the original master is down it can keep on working. And this is not a "problem" of BBP, it happens with all Bitcoin-like coins.

and how do i get rid if Illegal CPID on purepool?
Not sure about purepool. Hopefully the guy that runs the pool can answer when he sees the question. Having a valid CPID with Magnitude The Checks onthe CPID are done by the biblepay client and are the same that are required to find a block. I have a magnitude of .19 for the week, but purepool doesnt show a valid cpid..and no shares found

Your user is BF82a4mCHgYsQVeATQQ2Xq9Mh71SX4CqM2? (found it in another post). I took the last rejected solution from the log files and validated it again. Here is the result: {'Command': 'hexblocktocoinbase', 'biblehash': '000003dec5371466195741c313bec6d7c3bf4caa4f22620e4c25935ac0a3c322', 'blockversion': '1.1.2.3', 'txid': '6787e37242ae8bf17d32c6de65a4a825c45cf5679e81141fb3685538062d2d37', 'cpid_legality_narr': 'CPID_HAS_NO_MAGNITUDE', 'subsidy': 512, 'recipient': 'BA3cgTBNea2jrChntZQz4fJbNFzyGtuttx', 'blockmessage': '<VER>1.1.2.3</VER><cpidsig>f75aecf265ef66a949ddfc750f9e45f1;a4fcf89390f6f275f829cb81d2e417bebdbd37fbb86f950fd5367ce796c042aa;BF82a4mCHgYsQVeATQQ2Xq9Mh71SX4CqM2;H50EBoglQCEmp4JaxHQAg+skgCgugJWDJ65Ssla52asnIY6yKu3bn7T9x8qpvkyc4uflxtunQMb9tWG02PNjSHc=</cpidsig><MINERGUID>ada16105-5246-41bb-93e6-b1f05c1da42c</MINERGUID>', 'cpid_legal': False, 'cpid_sig_valid': True} Important are the parts with "cpid_*": 'cpid_legal': False 'cpid_sig_valid': True 'cpid_legality_narr': 'CPID_HAS_NO_MAGNITUDE' This is the output of the biblepay client on the pool. If I use the given CPID, I see the problem: "42452 [04-24-2018 04:53:04] (24549 BBP) [TXID=16f0996ea97dc16059d5884e5184cacb7a831ce65fc21d804973df40eb70d125] ": "0.41", "41692 [04-20-2018 08:19:23] (23634 BBP) [TXID=1ebdeb465bd61b59f9b70432914b61479c67fdec3e7d145b5ae1141ccc14dc18] ": "3.86", You had a long time without any podc updates from a biblepay client. For that reason, you have no magnitude. Important: The same rules the Pool is using are used by all other clients, too. So if you would, for example, solo mine, your found blocks would be rejected by all other biblepay clients for the same reason. It is not a pool rule, it is a network rule

JESUS SAVES !!!!
Listen to this warmhearted amazing gesture that was donated to BIBLEPAY today!
About a week ago I received an e-mail from a person that said something to the effect of : If you give me your BTC address, Ill give you a donation for the children. So I added some sugar to the deal and said I would match the donation Up to a 'reasonable' value if you go through with it, here it is. (I was thinking up to $500 for matching lol).
So today, I get this donation from Jesus Saves Korp, for $8,700! For our "orphan foundation". (So I added a match to this amount - IE about 55% extra) and decided to go ahead and sponsor 100 additional compassion children with approx 1/3rd of the funds today!
Let's all give thanks to Jesus Saves Korp for this generous gift!
And lets rejoice that we have expanded our DAC global impact by 50% in one weekend!
All Praise to Jesus!
We now sponsor 329 Orphans!
That's good to hear Bible_pay, I was wondering if you saw that message I wrote a few days ago: Thanks for the update Bible_pay,
This issue is very unfortunate and hopefully it can be resolved soon by having everyone upgrade.
That meeting with Compassion is really exciting. Would it be possible to scan that pamphlet so that can all have a look at it too?
Also, I had a look at the expenses/fundraiser page in the pool and I was wondering if we could add another page (or add something somewhere) that would have the current balance in BBP, BTC, USD, etc. of what is in the BiblePay foundation accounts?
1) On the pamphlet: Yes, I will scan it today and post it here. http://pool.biblepay.org/san/mission/CompassionMeetingGinger.pdf2) On a side note, we dont keep an outstanding balance in the foundation account - its actually spent every month when the compassion invoice is processed. Also the foundation balance is always in BBP, never in BTC. The normal total donations received per month in BBP into the foundation is about 10,000 bbp (not much). However this question brings up an interesting point that might be worth filling the gap. Let me run a report we have in the wallet and ill get back to you on this asap. Thanks Bible_pay, 1) Thank you for the pamphlet, I will have a loot at it later today. 2) That's very nice! For the balances in BTC, USD, etc. I was thinking that even though everything is spent every month, BBP still need to be sold to BTC and then the BTC has to be sold to USD and then the USD is spent. So it would be nice to be able to reconcile easily all of that if you know what I mean. Maybe for now just adding a "total" to both the fundraisers page and expenses paid so that it's all added up automatically on these pages. But in the end (and I mean in the future when we grow more), I think the best would be to have an account per currency. Just throwing out ideas.
