Motivation is Power. when you combine the energy, knowledge and skills of motivated persons be sure of accomplishing anything. one of the ways people get motivated is by emphasizes on progress, nothing is more powerful than progress - using small wins to ignite joy, engagements, and creativity.   encouraging people to reflect on how far they have come and the good work they have done motivates them. Secondly Rewards, according to studies, rewards accounts for about 75 percent of personal motivation towards  accomplishment. The rewards one believes are at stake is a significant factor in predicting dedication and satisfaction towards work/task. it can be financial reward or promotion to a new level.

I have found that money is not the best motivator. It can be at first. But when the time goes by, the money matters less and less, then other factors start to gain momentum. Like job itself, colleagues, bosses, working conditions etc.

Edit: I think the majority of people are bad at self-motivation. So, business owners should be paying close attention to keeping workers motivation high.

I really don't know how to motivate a person to start working, as it is really hard. But if you need to motivate person to continue his work, you just have to show him that he can do everything, that nothing is difficult to him. He will have so much power after this to do anything.

I think when you focus on your goals and ambitions, you'd be motivated to work hard. Keep your eye on the prize, so to speak.

Me and my team work remotely in two time zones. It is difficult to motivate a person with whom you do not have an everyday contact in the office only through communicators. But once a week, we try to connect with each other and talk about projects and once a month we make a video call which we call "coffee talk".

There are 2 options here. 1. If a person by itself is one that never worked, then she will never work. This is a lazy man. 2. When a person is disappointed with something, then she needs to have some time to recover and everything will be fine.

I make a list of my goals in life. That, plus all my unpaid bills certainly motivates me to work. I guess it helps if you find work you're passionate about.

The person who have motivation in their work  for sure they are inspire and they really want what work they applied. Because we know person sometimes apply to the work because of the high salary but they did not really want the work.

It seems that these 2 things, motivation for work and good salary usually don't come together.
So, many times we have to chose what is more important for us, good salary or to be happy.
If I do a job that does not motivate me I try to find at least something what can makes me happy, like cafe break, new friendship, listen some musuc etc.
It helps.

There is a way to motivate people in their work that not only has to do with increasing their salary, but in giving them freedom, that is, the person at their work can listen to music, watch TV if they want, but as long as they comply with Your goals, is something like what Google applies to its workers, I think that's the way it's best because people get out of the routine that all work always offers.

I think this is conditional, if you find a guy that is not motivated to work usually you need to dig deeper - assuming the pay is as per industry standard. There are other factors that matter to a person like sense of achievement, recognition, growth opportunity, etc which employer needs to acknowledge and facilitate.
