How to stop ICO ?

Until today there's no way to stop an ICO but I think when every state and government has the power to stop anything except nature but stopping ICO is stopping also the future of economy and trade. Cryptocurrency is already embraced by people and technology enthusiasts so regulating ICO is the only thing can do than stopping it.

too many altcoins. like airdrops are popping every hour. this will create confusion and FUD.

Indeed, and this is the reason why some people would like to think if there's an option to stop or to halt ICOs because we have already a thousand ICOs in the world and still there are more to come by next year. For me, regulating an ICO is more effective than stopping it.

This is a free market and selfregulatory. So everyone is free to make and advertise theyre project. It is the users job to give a chance to those who are legit and to sanction the others. I think that with time , if the ico market keeps it this way, users will stop invest in ico`s and the old one will start to dissapear. There is a big need for a cleaning as many tokens  that dont belong in this market only makes the research harder.
But, as there is in any bussiness , where there are money there are people who want to take advantage of them. Its our job to invest only in the strong, well planned and with a good transparent team ICO`s

That is just an illusion markets have claimed to self regulate and that is just a way to say that there is no regulation in place, I would like to avoid regulation in crypto but if thins keep going in this direction with people investing millions of dollars in scams then regulation is going to happen whether we like it or not.

What is the need to stop ico. It has been serving as an added support to the growth and spreading of cryptocurrency throughout the world. Maybe some could have gained the investment and termed as a scam due to lack of growth and when it comes to reality most were already self regulated and works without flaws.

ICO does not need to be stopped even considering that about 40 percent of the current ICO is showing signs of fraud. In the future, this process will become regulated, and investors will learn from their mistakes to differentiate risky ICOs from prospective ones. And the market will filter out useful projects and created based on their tokens from unnecessary and useless.

Even if 99 percent of the ICO projects fail, you can be rewarded fairly well as long as you hit that 1 percent ICO project, so it's worth taking a chance.

A huge number of the projects in crypto eventually fail but not all fail at the ico level some eventually develop a working product and the project happens to fail because of a combination of factors like another existing coin monopolizing the market or another coin find a way to do the same thing but better with lower costs or by being a lot faster.

No one can stop ICO, if you think you are just wasting your time then don't invest, failure is part of life specially in ICO you don't always feel the success thats why you think first if the project will click to others.

Sometimes some ICO's are ending up failed, but it's not an enough reason to stop ICO's production. And in my opinion, we can't do anything about it, even if we sign a petition about stopping ICO still it won't do anything. Maybe you've seen already a campaign here about Stoping ICO's , they are encouraging people to sign their petition and if you really want to STOP ICO's, sign their petition then we'll see!   But for now let's just choose wisely so we won't fail also.

You cant stop ICOs or new coins that are coming out, yeah they are spending a big amount of money on advertisement to get people to join their project but the revenue they get is much larger than what they spend so basically the one who is at risk at failure are the investor of the coin.

I dont really think that you can stop an ICO. Everyday more and more ICO are being develop. Some are successfull while most of them are not. But still a lot of people are interested in ICO. As long as there are people who are willing to invest in an ICO, it cant be stop. Also its part of the development that cryptocurrency is undergoing. You can stop it if you can stop the investors, which I think wont be happening.

The market is not going to do anything, if the market wanted to do something it could have been done already and yet the amount of scam icos is very high, so government oversight is going to come and change the way icos raise money it is sad but if people do not learn and keep choosing crappy projects then government intervention will happen.

I don't think that we can stop ico because the ico can help us to reach another profit. besides that, there is many good ico that will bring success to both project and investor. Nothing can stop icos but at the same time we need a new way for projects to raise funds, scammers are abusing the icos and creating many fake projects, even copying someone else work and trying to convince people they made that work, so if icos want to keep getting funds from people they need to do more than what they are doing now or the lack of interest from the community will slowly make icos fade away.

ICOs will stop if the companies cannot manage or handle their campaigns anymore. you can pretty much see if these happen by researching first about their campaign, objectives, etc.. You can be certain by then that their campaign will be successful once you understood what they are for and if it really is possible to reach their goals or objectives.
