There are still numerous ICO that still come and succeed. It all depend on the project team and their project. If the team is experienced and are sincere with their marketing and advertising the rate of success is high. The rate of failure in ICO is a blessing in disguise as only well packaged projects will make it.

my idea is actually the same as other people's thoughts. but if they really want to put an end to ethereum  managers for such projects, I think they can   does to this very easily. the main question here is why do they want to stop it? many projects are being done with ethereum and very little is done with the project waves. ico projects are definitely an invigorating feature for other coin, tokens and markets  . Lol. Your right almost every day i see dozens of new ICOS. This is just so alarmong and can ve really confusing in the perspectives of newbies in the crypto currency world. Although some are great projects, others are just ahitcoins and scams. But they do not waste time and money because most of them just run off with your momey or make some alibis.

It is contradictive the question with your act. Your question how to stop ICO in fact you promote an ICO with your signature campaign. The best questions " How to stop scam ICOs?" It think this is the problem. There are many fake ICos with fake projects. They just sell token, that is easily created on ethereum blockchain. They mined the token first or sell premined tokens, They earn eth and the rest of the token. That's a good way to raise fund for legit developers. I support legit and trusted ICOs.

This is the problem of all participants and investors in which we really dont know if the ICO will going to be successful in the end or not. That even there is an regulating policy it could only determine the legality of the ICO but not the future results of the campaign therefore to know the success of a certain ICO will just depend upon the individuals thru vigorously research, constant monitoring of the ICO status, analyzing and perfect decision making to stop or to continue affiliating.

During last several weeks have read and posted a lot about ICO and here is the opinion which sounds most reliable for me personally. If we want to regulate ICOs then there are hell lot of questions because a lot of ICOs putting effort in same direction. In fact during last several years I see more and more specific competitions between new projects and that's normal. If we shall have let's imagine governmental regulation for that, they can simply give the license to the representatives of fat cat and hold off perspective young newcomers. Still some countries, for my mind, with the very good developed competition and business infrastructure can apply some sort of centralized normative to several specific types of ICO. Some countries will ban it absolutely like China did. But the case of China is not ordinary country. You know that in some countries casino are allowed in some not. In some they are allowed only for foreign citizens (such an insidiousness). Also here we shall not see equal decision from different countries. But still - ICO really will become standard procedure for funding business projects in sphere of financial innovations and blockchain technologies.

Yes, i think regulation for ICO is necessary to stop ICO scams, But real valuable projects should grow up.

Barely it is possible. As it was told many times 95% of businesses in real world crash within the first year. Why ICO must be something different? Nobody can give you guarantee of success except yourself and your feelings. Why do you think there still no such things like "Movement of Betrayed ICO Investors" and so on? Because nearly every person understand inside "yes I did not read this whitepaper, yes I did not extrapolate this service into real life, I did not read about this, I did not make personal investigation about the ICO I was investing in, well al least I did not hear myself". Some enormous successes which are natural to the fresh appeared industry as this on blockchain tech would bring many magical benefits and pathetic losses also, so some initial cases made public believe that 1000% profit in 80% cases is normal. No it is not.
Also even centralized control will not protect people from talented criminals like Madoff.

Why would you want to stop ICOs? And why would you say they are failures? Give them time to develop their project, what the hell!
The only airdrop failure is for ICO flippers. ICOs don't produce 10X returns in one week any more. And that's GOOD.

The opportunity to earn extra money is getting bigger. If ICO fails it's a common thing they easily find another project.

ICOs are already slowly being stopped because regulators made public statements and they even provided framework for businesses to start legal ICOs. SAFTs is what they're called and it's one big load of bullshit, so what is even better scam wise are forkcoins where they literally copy the Bitcoin code and fork from it by adding a couple tweaks here and there to the source code.
