Regulations from the SEC and such will definitely bring the number of ICO's down, but that will take some time. Hopefully such regulations will prevent scams from happening and such.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

although there is a regulation from the sec, I don't think this will stop the ico to release the project because as long as they obey the regulations and not trying to break the law, then the ico will be fine. and if they really have a good project, they will make sure that every investor will be safe and will take their profit at the end of the ico. maybe the regulation is for limiting the amount of the ico that is launch in every month so people can choose a good ico and make a profit with the ico.

It is free market, it contains risks, but in case of success will bring money. There is nothing unusual.

ICO is the only way for the users to get profit. I don't think that it will go down sooner or later. It will take time, I guess. But, at this moment, some ICOs are really true and effective. You can't change the fact that there are still some ICO who's not performing good and results good, but if you tend to look for a good and better one, then you can be helped by that.

You'll never be able to stop them. ICO's are nothing more then crowdsales. And crowdsales are a new way of attracting the investors.

You know how it used to be in the old times? You would have an idea, or a finished project, and then you would organise or attend a party or gathering of special sort of people, or find a promotor who would do it for you and present yourself and your idea there.... Now it's more easy, you have internet and more people can get acquainted with your idea. However the problem is that they don't get to know you. Although it is hard to know if the persons are sincere just by getting to know them, it is indeed more easy to check the validity of their projects and their honesty.

What can be done though is a better regulation. Nowdays it is far too easy to set up a project, a nice looking one, and then just escape with the money. My vote is that every applicant should offer something to vouche with (like credit card number) so that she/he can be penalized in case of not delivering with intent of not delivering (making a fraud). In the future it could be secured with smart contracts as well.

Each ICO project brings new ideas in the crypto field, there is no need to stop the progress. We just need a certain organisations to secure investors' funds.

I think we shouldn't stop ICO's. Of course there are a lot of scam projects now, but ICO is a real opprortunity for developers to realize their great ideas which can make our world more convinient. Also it is a chance for usual users to earn a huge amount of money if the project becomes succesful.

every single day ICO projects always appear with their respective advantages. but in fact, many are experiencing failure in the end. they just waste time and spend money to advertise? how about you're opinion Huh
In my opinion, over time, we will come up with tough rules for conducting ISOs, and then they will not waste our time on their unprofitable projects.

I agree that many ICO failed because of lack of marketing and lack of innovation on their projects. Some ICO are just after the money of investors and Scam the many and left the project behind. But there are some legit ICO that has a good innovation and will probably boom in the future, Just be keen enough to choose the ICO that you want to invest.

Yes, in Croatia we for example have a problem with writing good crowdsourcing projects. Oh yes, there are many. However, they are mostly not of any substantial quality and rarely receive some funds. Maybe we could say that we still don't have to many new technology adoptive investors, or on the other hand that we are scam proof.

Same is with ICO, it is very indicative that there is almost none existing that originate from my country.

Writing a good project is not an easy task. Recognising one also. However, at least it can be a good litmus paper for filtering scams. At least a good written project shows that the developer, even if scammer, is not at least looking for easy money and has invested some effort.

I don't think all ICO's are bad so I disagree with your statement.

The only way I can see them stopping is self regulation from the crypto community. If people stop investing into them, they will cease to exist as there is no benefit for them to launch their ICO.

That's normal, 90% of all startup also fail, ICOs are no different, but obviously the scam chances are higher and you need todo your research before throwing money.

ICO is really a good investment most of the time, if an ICO fail it's because their project is not that appealing to investor or they lack marketing strategies which is somehow have a great impact on an ICO's success. ICO is just like doing business in real life, not every people or group of people who put capitalzation and established a company/business always succeed.

How is it possible to stop people learning from failure? that is impossible. they're getting excited about how to build a true system by learning from their failures

Yes ICO appears every day and most of them are not of high quality. But we can not stop the appearance of these projects. It would be like just the fight with the wind) We can only choose good projects and support them. But in order to find a good project you have to make a very time-consuming research.
