Over 1 million GLC traded so far today on Cryptsy... GLC has been very strong since the hard fork to difficulty adjustment, among the top 10 coins on the mining profitability charts for the past two weeks. The cryptocurrency community have clearly noticed this.

Globalcoin will soon see its $1,000,000 market-cap again... and I'm confident we'll see much much grander.

But from what I see here (watching this thread as I like GlobalCoin) it is a tight community that has really come together & making things happen.

This was the first coin I ever mined tbh... but it was in November so I didn't get many haha...
But now I'm thinking of buying for 0.5btc, is it worth it? Will the price rise?

IMO of course the price will rise.  You have to be a holder though to really enjoy the increase in price.

We are well positions both on the front and back end.  The system is stable and attractively situated within the market as far as subsidy and total coinage to be minted.
Branding is strong, but work still needed on this front.  A stronger community is always a driving force with Cryptos, but this will grow organically in the year/s to come.

There are a couple more compelling reasons to expect growth.  The subsidy will be dropping from 100 to 50 in early March, ~36 days from today.  It will again be halved in Mid July and again in toward the end of this year.  So in roughly 12 months, the subsidy will be 12.5.

If you are willing to buy now and hold for 1 1/2 years.  You will be thrilled.
