i think it needs the RED Grin

Hot news, within a month there will be over 5,000 sites accepting Redcoin as payment.

You're probably chomping at the bit to start dumping those premined coins to make your quick buck.

If there are truly some solid services using/accepting Redcoin, though, it's probably worth listing as that makes it somewhat unique amongst this giant pile of newer altcoins. Every once in a while greedy devs can still overcome a premine with force and this may be an example of that.

this. trust me man, if you have any conscious at all, you will feel guilty as soon as you dump that premine.

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

I hope cryptsy will have a public and fair standard in selecting the alt coins.

People have discussed adding pennies and the divisibility problem. I believe there are two options that can be used, first the obvious, trade rounded numbers and create a minimum trade limit, such as minimum of 5. Second, you could employ the method used by feeleep's pool, if someone tries to trade something with decimals, the decimal value would then go to the exchanges' wallet. In fact a third option would be to use the two in collab. This would allow the exchange to add a coin with new ideas and many users + allow the exchange to profit from this.

So....ADD PENNIES AND GME.

I hate to sound like a broken record here, but it's clear ELP isn't going anywhere - you gotta move on, man. I can't think of anything that was recently added to Cryptsy that had no services, 1/4 of the existing coins premined, no giveaways worth mentioning, not a single stratum pool, no innovation, and almost nobody mining it. If I started mining ELP with my single desktop I'd be finding blocks every 2 minutes because the network is on life support. No PoS means I could 51% attack ELP with a single machine in my garage. To top it off, the ELP people have to have the lowest average IQ of any altcoin community in existence. Their responses are frightningly stupid - nothing remotely intelligent has been said by these guys since day 1. The dev ignored my recent suggestions, thereby rendering all of that premined ELP he's clenching to essentially worthless. The greedy dev clearly never cared about anything beyond making fast profit and the ELP community has his back - this coin was DOA.

I am wide open as far as coin selection is concerned its public info. Will we add a coin for competitive reasons absolutely we are a for profit company. But for the most part we list coins in order by the list.

The lower you get down the list the more unrefined it gets as they have little chance of taking over the top 5 I spend less time ranking them. So RED under elephant doesn't mean one will make it first. The top 5 coins however have a way greater chance of being in the right order.

We at Cryptsy are still very concerned about the large amount of Elephants that have died due to us not listing the coin, however the statements are accurate its a non PoS low hashrate coin that we don't see much potential in (beyond elephant rescue operations)

ORB oops you got us! Didn't see the premine we liked its intentions promote science sounds great. Once the math was done on the premine we realized it will be 10 years for the miners to pass up the premine. This also means well over 51% of the coin are held by the creator its a proof of stake coin so not good for business.

RED coin has potential but again in order to quell the waves of just copy and past throw out coins we have recently begun listing any coin that obviously was made to make profit for a developer alone as its only intent to be ranked lower on the list. My advice is destroy the premines like NVC.

As far as spots he asked to be removed so we removed him. Then he asked to be added so we added him. Coin was fair release and has services simple enough.

Bring on the questions......

When I suggested this or, alternately, at least keeping a public ledger (a la CGB) to the Elephantcoin community, responses ranged from, "get out!! nobody asked you to mine this coin!!!11" to "quit badmouthing this coin i like elephants" - it was the strangest collection of responses I've ever seen and from a variety of users. Even the dev got in on the nonsense briefly but never once even attempted to justify the premine with any future plans/projects/etc. Couldn't he at least LIE to me? I'd prefer to be lied to! If you're looking for a chuckle, check out my summary of flyingcat's ELP thread bumps (my post is in the same thread.)

Maybe the ELP community is actually made up of insane mutant elephants stoked to dump their coins?! The whole thing would be a laughfest if I hadn't (naively - I was brand new to the scene at the time) mined a ton of ELP. Why wouldn't the community (or even the dev) be interested in saving the currency (even if it means giving up most of the dirty money for the sake of the community) they've devoted so much time to mining and senselessly defending.

The only option after you premined is to keep a public ledger, else smart people won't trust you.

I've probably mined this coin the most with my meager ~930 kH/s and I've generated roughly 200k coins, so a 1 mil premine (which has been mostly given away) doesn't concern me much.  Seems to be a coin with a good dev who is keeping everyone informed and giving them new ways to use the coin.

Premined coins should stop pop UP at all. Time for them is over. IF you want to  make a coin you have to invest real value in it, not just  premine in order to cover expenses for creating it....

This probably is not for here but... wanted to share Wink
