Maybe yes, other most of the country has been yet legalize. Few of them, but in our country, even the government dont know what bitcoin means. And i think it is possible to be ban if they know it.

Yes, posibility is always exist between us. In this case, government can ban bitcoin for any reason.
I agree with you, if government know bitcoin maybe they will ban it. I hope not

It seems that the government is not able to ban bitcoin at present. Although some governments do not like it. Because bitcoins are bound to the Internet. Unless the Internet is closed. Otherwise, the bitcoin will not be completely banned!

Government that have made a clear study will surely understand the need for the same and will accept it. Government might tax the usage of bitcoin, but this will not cause for the ban of bitcoin. Because this has been making an inflow of traditional economy within the country.

Bitcoin has been around the borders of financial markets for less than a decade, but is slowly gaining importance as an alternative asset class.
Can the government of any major country step in and do the unlikely?

It could happen, but it takes a long time for it to happen. Bitcoin is a free market is very difficult for the government to control it.

Any governments can ban bitcoin if they want to because they have the power to create a law that the people will obey because the government is a kind of organization that is the leader of the country and everything that the government tell the people to do should be obeyed or else they will end up in jail.

At the current stage, there is hardly a technical opportunity to close the bitcoin. If the government wants, it will affect it legislatively - will do so that using bitcoin will be dangerous and not profitable.

Any government can declare bitcoin an illegal payment method in their respective country. While they can hardly prevent people from trading their coins, they certainly can make sure no merchant and no store is allowed to officially accept Bitcoin. Since governments are desperate to be in charge of creation of their locale FIAT money via their respective central banks, it is highly likely that some sort of ban might be coming up. The only reason this hasn't already happened is that it makes a government look really, really bad. Especially in the western world politicians keep talking about how "free" their countries are compared to other non-western nations. Outlawing Bitcoin simply doesn't fit all that well with this sort of propaganda. The best excuse they can come up with is that Bitcoin can be used for criminal purposes. Following this logic we would have to ban just about everything since pretty much all kinds of devices, items and technologies can be misused.

If some countries have started taxing the bitcoins, then the people must get very happy about it, because it will lead to the legalisation in the trade and transactions will be possible through online wallet. Moreover, in some countries, there are doubling or even tripling of the tax on the people, so I think by this, that doubling of taxation will also be encountered. Small businesses will start accepting the bitcoins and the price will go high which will benefit other parts of the world as well.

The government can step into bitcoin and ban it on their country, it is their right to do that like to a person who can have persona non-Grata.
government is the ruler of any country which allow and dis-allow the thing or any for the good of the citizen or just a single want.

Bitcoin is not owned or controlled by any government or corporation. Bitcoin network is peer to peer and fully decentralized.  t
It cannot be controlled directly by the governments, therefore, it cannot be banned. However, they can impose certain restrictions on its usage. They can discourage users from using or joining the BTC. Similarly, if there is a strong regulator in any country then it can be banned accordingly. On general note, it cannot be banned.

NO. Not all governments can ban Bitcoin.

There are hundreds of useless governments across the world that are corrupt and in financial shambles or war (Syria, Venezuela, for instance).

Some African country I've never heard of (forgot name) has declared Bitcoin illegal, but they can't enforce it due to their corruption and inability.

Only the strong governments can enforce a Bitcoin ban.

If the US government said "Bitcoin trading is illegal in the US", I would have to sell my stash.

Using crypto to pay for college.

yes they can but they are quite difficult to prohibit bitcoin running in the country-state. so the news that has been circulating about bitcoin is sometimes true, and sometimes not true or hoak. so it's up to you to believe it or not it's our right.
That can be a wrong decision by them because bitcoin is playing a very great role in economy of many countries its very good and useful for countries in some countries bitcoin reduced unemployment so I think every single country must make bitcoin accept and also make it legal as some countries have made bitcoin legal so in my opinion bitcoin is best for countries and it can change their economy as in my country bitcoin help our economy.

Based on my humble knowledge about government rulings here in our country, yes there is a possibility that they can ban bitcoin since they have all the control over  what is legal or illegal transaction in accordance with the law. However, bitcoin is decentralized and it will take a long process before they can totally ban it but they can suppress or limit transactions if they want to.

Meantime, Several countries are scared of cryptocurrencies activities, others make moves on. Yes, your cryptocurrency activities over online could not be pointed out anyway. Connected to illegal activities like money laundering, drugs, weapons, and so on that direct threat in this term they try to control it by regulating over the virtual currencies.

I am not sure how they would, maybe some countries that have control over the Internet but in the West? How would they even start.

I always thought this was the best part of crypto, if you live in Greece or Zimbabwe you probably don't have alot of faith on your government or currency.

Governments of individual countries can completely prohibit the circulation of crypto-currencies in their country, and some countries have already done so. So, most recently, on December 18, bitkoyn was completely banned in Kuwait. There, apparently, were frightened of its sharp rise in price. However, judging by the situation with the ban on crypto currency in China since September this year, such a ban is ineffective, since the state can not fully control its ban. After all, there is a crypto currency on the Internet, and it's not so easy to ban it.
