I was waiting to pay my august starter kit 25 GH/s with a SEPA transfer as well, punin said that they will add it soon, but now I have to sell my pre-order to someone who is willing to pay with bitcoins, I just didn't feel right about spending my bitcoins when I've got them for 180$ each and it seemed stupid for me to let them go for 80-95 $.

I have a question, why is the starter kit advertised as 25gh/s if there are 16 chips on it, shouldn't it be 16*2.7GH/s ~ 40GH/s...
Also about the payment, is cash-in-hand a possible method if wire transfer isn't?

The chips on the starter kit and H-boards are clocked at ca. 1.5 GH/s each. These boards were originally designed for the 100TH project, they are underclocked to increase efficiency. If you buy individual chips and build your own board, you can push them to 2.7GH/s (I think cscape even achieved 3.4GH/s).

You need to increase the amps/volts to get it stable and those regulators won't allow that (by a lot)

Dani is right and this has been answered before. The regulator on each board has a limit of 30A, you'd need to have one that goes up to 50A to do some serious overclocking. But 30A is the max for this product series of regulators with the same footprint. That means overclocking won't be so easy.

So we'd rather just get bare chips from bitfury and get a board manufacturer (burnin, bkkcoins) to make us a board that can really push these bad boys hard?

or wait until somebody is reselling cscapes new S-hash board design which has an 50A regulator included

cscapes s-hash board will come to the market for sure. First prototype of Bitfury S-HASH board is hashing: Features: - 16 Bitfury ASIC capacity
- Adjustable (through 0805 SMT resistor) voltage regulator between 0.7 and 0.9V
- Core voltage regulator has 50A capacity, so chips can be overclocked.
- On-board ARM Cortex M3 processor with standard RJ-45 100 Mbps Ethernet port.
- Built-in mining software can operate stand-alone. No PC or Raspberry PI needed, just an internet connection.
- TCP/IP stack with DHCP and DNS support. Just fill in pool server name, port number, username and password.
- Support for Stratum and backup mining pools.
- Built-in small webserver for chip status/speed reports.
- PCB temperature sensor, could be used for automatic shutdown when temperature gets too high.
If you don't have the budget for a large number of chips, overclocking is the best option, as it will get you 40GH/sec out of a card (probably more with better cooling), instead of 25GH for a standard H-CARD for the same 16 chips. At 40GH/sec, the card uses about 35 Watts, running off a standard 12V DC supply.
