bringing my tech problems back to this thread (i got some fast replies last time):

i got a monitor and keyboard now to manually get the rpi running, and cannot even login.

It appears to load the entire code, and gets to

"(none) login:"

I enter pi as the username and get this response:

"unable to determine your tty name.
Debian GNU/Linux 7 (none) ttyl

(none) login: "

whats going on?

ps: i apologize for harassing multiple threads. the bitfury US guide thread is the best place to reply, i just want to get my error seen so that someone can help me fix it. Its been over 24hrs that ive been unable to mine with my bitfury system because of this

What version m-board do you have, and what version of the SD image are you downloading?
Make certain that you are reformatting the card to at least 4 Gb each time before imaging or the image won't fit.

on further inspection, it seems dropbox connection got lost mid-download, resulting in what appeared to be a full .img file but only 1.6GB. Ive redownloaded and now have a 3.63GB file that is formatting now. crossing my fingers.

perhaps a secondary upload location (particularly with the 'correct' ip settings) would be a good idea?

Problem is, the gateway can be set to various things, and you can manually set your router to anywhere in the 192.168.xxx.xxx space.

But at the very least, one image setup with gateway 192.168.0.1 (image-GW.0.1)? and another image with gateway 192.168.1.1 (image-GW.1.1)? would solve most peoples problems.

I apologize for lack of communication. I'm on a business trip in Ukraine, really busy and seldom have access to internet. I'll start to catch up on backlog of mails and requests after I return (probably only by weekend).
I hope that you can catch up on backlog of mails and requests this weekend.

Can you tell when will you ship the October units? Because if you dont ship soon (just before October), it seems they wont pay their own cost even. At least that is what http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ shows they "may" make a 200euro in the end if they are received right after next 144m difficulty comes on 25th of this month. While it may sound far fetched, the calculator on the site has been quite accurate so far... (I used 9000euro total with VAT and 100euro BTC/euro excange rate)

It's been made clear multiple times that October delivery is "End of October".  Anything before the last day in October should be considered a bonus.

Punin said:
The october 400gh kit was 7500euro,  but now it is 6500euro, will punin make refunds to who bought them with 7500euro?
People getting late october orders will be missing out on approx. 4000€ in mining revenue. I think a 1000€ price-break is more than justified.

Miners can make 4000euro revenue only if they are delivered in next 2 weeks. If he sends the units in the end of October, they will barely make up 2000euro in their lifetime.

I want a reply from Punin for this question, it is important for many people I guess. They may start asking for refunds soon if the delivery time frame is not made clear enough.

Punin, what is the right answer?

I agree that official status update would be nice. But as far as I can say, punin is a man of his word and is making a great effort to rather over-deliver. If he is not answering, he's probably busy working on fulfilling his promises. If he ships prior to November 1st, there is really no base to complain. We all did a calculated risk about the difficulty growth and it is not punin's fault that the network hashing speed is skyrocketing beyond our most wild predictions.

Well lets wait for the official update from Punin. But I disagree with November 1st argument, because he reduced October price by 1000euro and said the early orderers will make 4000euro more than late orderers. While I am not expecting the euro amounts to match, he couldnt have said that if all the orders would be shipped in the end of October (because then he couldnt claim such difference). So, to be a man of his word, he must ship some October orders in the beginning of October. Smiley

if the 30A converter is the limiting factor on chip power (presumably up to about 0.84V), does setting a poor-performance chip (<0.6Ghash) "free up" ~6% more power headroom for the other chips to use? (for example, pushing them to 0.88V with added cooling)

Update
I had to take a few days off after my trip to Ukraine to be with my family and get some time to relax and get a few full nights of good sleep. I'm feeling all energized as a Jack Russell Terrier now, so I'm back in work-mode. I'm starting by going through paperwork and mails.

While I was on my trip, my team had made great progress with software, and we're now able to produce much more stable rigs without excessive tweaking.

We plan to start shipping next week!
