The advantage is - it has double purpose:
 1. Use it to power on your miner - no need of leads, the gold is great conductor and the ATX plug holes are near the same size
 2. Once the miner is no longer profitable - use it to hold your mined cash

So it is definitely worth it!

The plastic coated ones are nice because you can strip just the tips that go into the ATX plug, and you're left with a safe, plastic-coated, non-conducting loop sticking out.

Can we see a prototype in action or something? I remember seeing the video confirming your hardware was generating nonces, but I'm talking about a video of a product that looks and works exactly how the equipment will when a customer receives it.

Honestly I'm getting a little concerned, there is under 3 weeks left in August. Dave, you are going to be a hated man in these parts of the forums if Bitfury fails like BTCFPGA, even if you deliver but with delays. You may as well find a new line of work in that case... I'm hoping for the best, expecting the worst...

I feel pretty confident that Dave has hitched his cart to the right horse this time.  I'm way more comfortable about my preorder with BF than I am with my preorders with BFL and KNC.

I have fears that BFL will go bankrupt before I ever see my orders and KNC, well, I'm getting that same feeling I had with BTCFPGA/BitcoinASIC right before the avalanche.

I wish ASICs never existed. The things these companies are putting their customers through is unacceptable. If it is not an outright scam, then they delay your order as long as possible until it is not profitable any longer. It is truly bullshit. I should give Bitfury the benefit of the doubt because they haven't done this yet, but like I said... I am expecting the worst.

Please Bitfury, prove that all ASIC companies aren't out to suck the profit out of the products they sell before their customers receive them. Otherwise, Bitcoin mining is dead IMO, leave it for the big companies/corporations. Along with that, Bitcoin will die a slow death because it is no longer "for the people, by the people".

Given the current rate of difficulty increases, over 50$ per GH is absurdly overpriced for a 25 GH miner with an October delivery date. Folks would be much better off simply holding their BTC or spending $1300 to buy bitcoin directly.

New here, right?  That's the starter kit including the main board and RPi interface.  You add additional H-boards to it at $20/Gh/s = $500 / 25 Gh/s.  And if the price seems too high, maybe you should buy one of the competitors products, let's see...  BFL sells this neat 25 GH/s "little single" model for about $1250.  I think I heard they offer two week delivery...

Not to mention 40 watts per 25gh/s (if not less) vs whatever BFL's is (60gh/s is ~260 watts, so 25 gh/s unit ~120 watts or so). Once difficulty gets way up there, this will make a huge difference, especially for those that pay a lot for electricity. Plus, order from Bitfury and receive it in October. Order from BFL, receive in October, 2014.

Rev2 M-boards are currently in production, and I really think it's a good idea to ship the units with those as it makes it more plug and play. My original idea was to produce an adapter cable from PCIe to ring connector, but there's small problem: there's no female cable connector for PCIe Molex(!!), only board ones. This would then mean people would need to cut the PCIe cables that came with their ATX PSU or use a different PSU, a path which I don't want to go, because there are too many things that can go wrong with this approach. Also, although we do provide kensington screw terminals on the board, you don't need to use these if you use two PCIe connectors.

I still believe we will be shipping everything as promised, apart from possibly exceeding specs by 25% on the power consumption side. I'm also working together with Foofighter to produce casings for these units, ie. boxes with fans I have doubts we will have them available in time for August shipments though

I should be getting first M-boards on friday, so if all goes as planned, we would start shipping week 34.

The $1300 is not just for the 25gh/s hashing board. It is also for a master board and a raspberry pi. You can add 15 additional hashing boards (16 in total including your first one that came with the starter kit) to 1 master board for $500 per hashing board (each 25gh/s).

As stated above, it's not just the hashing board for 1300. I'm buying a starter kit + 3 hashing boards. Even including the Pi and M-boards "extra" cost, it still comes out to $28/GH/s. And I can add 25GH/s whenever I want (or can afford) to for only $500. With KMC, you'll have to buy an entire 100GH/s module to increase hashrate.
