Dave: Can you clarify whether the default ("free") shipping method to US customers is USPS Standard Post (7-8 days to most destinations) or USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days)?
If USPS Standard Post, can you add another shipping upgrade to the site for US customers to upgrade to USPS Priority Mail for $5 or something?
There should be a lower price overnight/express priority shipping for those who are only getting the 25Gh starter kit. I'm definitely not going to stick you with long shipping time to save a few bucks. In looking at the $199 shipping option against a single starter, I'm not super happy with the increase in cost to you. My choice to provide a single one-size-fits-all shipping option is adding too much cost to the starter kits. However, I'm wary of introducing more complications by adding a second option at this time, but rest assured I'm going to revisit this issue and make it right. Most of the cost of the expedited shipping option provides insurance. The insured cost of shipping a full rig is what mainly drove the expedited shipping price. If you ordered a starter kit and then purchase expedited shipping, I will either refund a portion of that $199 or drop store credit on your account. The amount will be $100. The idea here is to get them in your hands as soon as possible, not drive the price up 15% Cheers, Dave I appreciate that, I have already paid for the express shipping, The credit on the account is welcomed, and I want to continue to buy additional units (M and H units) from you.

Waiting to get the first ship notification from the factory...they should have some boards ready by now...
Should we expect good news today, that the first final boards are on the way to the US?

Hi Dave,
Since you sold far less than 300 August Full Kit, are you planning to send Oct Starter Kit earlier?

Any spares are likely to go to the 100200TH mine. 91.34TH/s and rising every day

Yeah, that's what worry me a little. I bought Oct Starter Kit and some H-Board when I though they will add 100TH to the farm then send October retail. Now it's 200TH which probably mean delay for Oct kit. But here I'm hoping Dave will send out Oct Starter Kit after 100TH since it cost the same as August Kit, then resume to 200TH

You're right. I never really clarified that the reason I started updating this thread is due to a conversation I had with Tytus. He was/is so busy, I suggested that I would keep you all informed. So I guess I'm the spokesperson for now on this forum anyway. Tytus still posts the picostocks reports.
Status of boards - as I noted before, final design bugs are ironed out and boards are in production. Due to delays, we've increased the hashpower we will commit to this mine to 200TH. I'm waiting to get a shipping notice from the factory - the first boards should be headed my way in 24 - 48 hours by my estimate, but I can only wait for them to ship. Well, that and send multiple emails per day to the US VP sales. First boards will be run for 24 hours or so in order to weed out underperforming or non-performing boards - this will all be sent to the mine. After the August retail units are shipped, remaining boards will begin to accumulate hashpower for the mine. I think we can put up 200TH in 30 days, but it remains to be seen what challenges there are.
The delays gave me an opportunity to jump on something for the datacenter without introducing future downtime to the mine. I went ahead with the plan to double the power service to the building, which completed last week. This provides quite a lot of power - 2400 amps of 208v (theoretically supporting about 500kW). I have about 1500 amps routed out onto the floor now. This extra power will give me some room to push the AC systems (25 tons) to the limit and see where we can max out temps. I can add AC once I get a better sense of where the operational temperature ceiling is.
No October shipping till either the 200TH mine is up, or it is nearly the end-of-October deadline (as will occur for the August deliveries), or the end of October because it is not in their interest to ship to their customers who will compete with the 200TH mine any earlierEdit >>>> Update
I've added option for UPS Express Saver shipping, and dropped the prices a bit as further october orders will most likely ship in very late october. Those who picked first october orders are likely to receive theirs in very early october, if not september.

So far I think they are right in line with what he wanted to do, accounting for the board fiasco in China I would say they have performed excellently. I have an August order placed on the day that post was made. I expect my order sometime in early Sept. No one ever said your order will be on you door on August 31st. But they have done an excellent job of keeping a fairly tight schedule. Please dont read this post condescending, that is not the purpose. Im just trying to answer the question the best I can. Regards Edit, added second link where shipping is talked about. Sorry I cant find the exact one I was looking for from Dave but If you look hard enough, I know its in there.

Pretty much the way everyone feels about it - I don't think there are any doubts that Dave is busting his butt to get these out on time. My understanding is that he is waiting on H-boards being sent expedited delivery from the fab in China and that they've been rolling off the production lines there for several days now.
I'm sure he'll chime in here just as soon as there is anything new to report.

Can someone explain what this 200 TH farm is about? can we buy shares of it? Or it's buzzdave's private money tree those 35% difficulty increases are really scary, especially considering the bulk of the hashpower hasnt even come online yet.

Under development Modular UPGRADEABLE Miner (MUM). Looking for investors. Changing one PCB with screwdriver and you have brand new miner in hand... Plug&Play, scalable from one module to thousands.

Update time! The good: I'm back in Finland and testing has begun! I will ship first units tomorrow! The bad:Our preliminary tests show that the boards are falling a bit short on hashrate. This might be due to differences between wafers, immature software or SPI issues. Because we are in a hurry to ship, you win: I will ship your ordered hashrate regardless (ie. more hardware free of charge) until we fix this issue and can provide 400GH in one unit. We are thinking of producing a batch with higher core voltage, which will allow the chip to run faster, but this needs to be tested as well. The ugly:Tomorrow I will be figuring out best way to pack these and continue tests, software development and debugging. Softare is still heavily under development, and is not very user friendly. We push hard to make it more user friendly this week. Our first orders were from Finland and I know many of these customers from IRC, so I asked if it was ok to ship with unfinished software, and they agreed. So stay tuned for first user reports I apologize for radio silence on communication front. I just don't have the time and energy now for updates every day, and have no time to go through the amount of email I'm getting. I push hard to keep my word and ship before end of month, and it's taking all my time. I'll go back to e-mails and PMs after that. Thank you for your support! This is an update from punin's/bitfurystrikesback thread. Not sure if this has any impact on Dave's/megabigpower, but it seems likely that it does.
