Seems EVERY security on btc-tc is being sold at the moment. Good time for anyone with a strong stomach and a few coins to make a killing

I agree actually, I just put my btc back into ActiveMining hoping to ride off cheap shares and sell right after kenneth's meeting tomorrow??

Are you insane? I ask only because you have just told the world that you have a news based trading strategy but not only that you have outlined what you are going to do - usually not a good idea? Second you are going to sell an undervalued share after significant good news? ok, good luck with that one.

I really don't see why his post indicates to you that he is "insane." He's just buying the "rumor", that Ken is going to make a deal with eASIC and have proof, and selling on the "news" when it is available. This is like stock trading 101. Selling some after it goes up and profit taking is smart because this is a very high risk investment. It will be undervalued when the Fast-Hash mining chip gets delivered to VMC, but until then it is all speculation.

It is not a smart trading method it is simply a traditional one that has been used for a long long time. And to come on to tell all the other share holders exactly why and when you will be trading like this is far from smart.

pardon my Scottish but this is Fookin Shite.

If I was a site operator for something as volatile as this environment, I'd keep my mouth shut until I knew for certain that the SEC was coming at me.

Err... Have  you forgotten where you are at?  Think about it.  We are betting on unproven companies, using unregulated exchanges with an unregulated currency.  We live for the uncertainty! I really think that this BTCT stool will pass shortly, and many people are going to make a killing when it does.  I seriously doubt that the SEC is going to swoop in and take out Bitfunder or BTCT overnight.

A question regarding our board members.
Will they get access to important info about ACTM before the rest of us?
If so, that puts them in a very sweet spot of doing good trades in the future.

I would have to agree.  This was a completely boneheaded move on burnside's part.  Sure, it's highly probable that the SEC might take notice of these exchanges, and attempt to crack down on them in the near future, but until that day comes, it is best to keep any contingency plans to one's self.  Many seem to be under the assumption that the SEC is going to fly in and shut down the site overnight (ala Megaupload) which in turn would render our portfolio's untouchable.  I do not think that this would be the case though.  More than likely, they will send the exchanges a list of things that they will need to collect from their user base (ex. KYC) if they want to become compliant with US regulatory laws and operate within the states.  THEN it would be up to the site admins to determine whether it is worth keeping things stateside.

Who's heading up board creation anyways? I feel like I'm missing out by not using IRC...

Exactly. This isn't the market for widows and orphans. Fortune favors the brave, and all that.

I'm surprised how well the price has been holding up despite all the trolling, the SEC scare and BTCT fear..
Expect a huge force upwards when Ken updates us on eASIC.
This is going to be quite the ride, shorts and longs included. Smiley

I'm not surprised at all, not to be contrary, but the stock is insanely cheap right now.

And no I'm not just trying to pump.  I honestly don't care about the stock price movements at this point in time other than keeping them low for dividend reinvestment.

looking around for more positive new today:

“eASIC’s disruptive NEW ASIC devices are enabling
OEMs and ASSP companies to get to market up to six
months earlier than with traditional cell-based technology,”
commented Jasbinder Bhoot, eASIC VP Marketing.

hopefully this lifts the spirits a bit...

Anyone know what the deal is now that ActiveMining is listed on BTCT?  Still just wait for the automatic transfer I'm assuming?

Yes.  Sit tight, your shares aren't going anywhere.  There isn't a share monster that comes and eats your shares.

Yeah just be patient. If you haven't been following the SEC thread, Burnside has stepped outside for some fresh air. AMC -> ActiveMining is probably not at the forefront of his mind just yet.

My apologies.
