Hey Ken. I know it's only been 24 hours or so, but any chance you received my AMC shares on Bitfunder? information was sent via PM and email thanks buddy! He usually does the transfers once a week, the day before divs are paid. I will be doing them in the morning.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Is there anyway to transfer shares from Bitfunder to BTC-TC? Or would it just be easier to wait for a good time to sell on Bitfunder then bounce over and buy shares on BTC-TC? I'd rather not take a loss if possible.

You could trade with someone who uses both exchanges, though I'm guessing you'd have to offer a premium as there is much less downward pressure on btct.co and much more volume.

I remember reading somewhere in this thread or the AMC thread about transferring shares to another exchange and if i remember correctly ken said, to transfer shares that are below 50k to another exchange would cost 1 BTC and you gotta wait up to a week or so. I just can't find that post right now

People hate on regulation of BTC so hard but if the CFTC stepped in it would bring currency futures for BTC and allowing mining operations such as ActiveMine to hedge the fluctuations, hell it could even bring liquid difficulty futures.
yes, anarcho-capitalists tend to collectively be out of touch with reality. "government", even the concept of "governance", and "regulations" are all bad words the current chairman of the CFTC probably trades bitcoin - based on the way he talks about them - and he could be this economy's best friend. To add to this, the CFTC is down for anything, its the legislature (congress) that you need to be worried about. It was congress that banned the trading of onion futures It was congress (under their MPAA master) that banned the trading of 'box office' futures, while the CFTC was on the verge of requiring movie studios to set up chinese walls

.... kslaughter, what is the proper way to calculate the actual outstanding shares of ActiveMining from those numbers? kslaughter, how did you resolve the management shares issue? Will those shares be held as treasury stock on btctc or for now or are you going to use some type of special accounts, that do not receive the dividends. One more question. Why do you keep pushing shares to Bitfunder and not to btct.co, while it lacks useful and important functionality and has lower trading volumes. https://bitfunder.com/asset/AMC#pane_profileAsset Name AMC Asset Issuer AMC Shares Total 100,000,000 Shares Issued 7,886,710 (changed by 1 000 000 form 8886710 to 7,886,710) Pays Dividends Yes Issuer may Increase Shares: No Issuer may Modify Description: Option not set. https://bitfunder.com/asset/ActiveMiningAsset Name ActiveMining Asset Issuer AMC Shares Total 25,000,000 Shares Issued 6,176,329 Pays Dividends Yes Issuer may Increase Shares: Yes, with vote. Issuer may Modify Description: Yes, without vote. https://btct.co/security/AMC-PTOutstanding 2924534 / 5000000 Issued I have cleaned up the shares, and de-issued those that are not needed at this time. I believe this is where we are with the BTC-TC shares added in: 9,877,461
Sorry, but I am not sure what do you mean by "cleaning up" and "de-issue". Only way you (I mean AMC and ActiveMining) or anyone else for that matter, can reduce the number of outstanding shares (aka "Shares Issued" in bitfunder) if issuer buys back the shares via exchange trading system. If there is another mechanism involved, can you please elaborate on this. Because AMC/Activemining has still not managed to release a proper balance sheet, where we can see the shareholders equity and number of outstanding shares (usually added as a comment), we have no idea what actually happen. ..I believe this is where we are with the BTC-TC shares added in: 9,877,461 Your comment "I believe" about number of outstanding shares is not sounding too confident. I have asked you previously 3 times, how do you calculate the correct number of outstanding shares. Do you know how to do it? (Thanks ffssixtynine, edit: Now, can freshly appointed ((n)ever voted?) board of directors comment on this interesting event?Cheers!

Eskimo, no board exists. Moves are being made to form one but it won't be instant. I hope it moves quickly but you have to allow some time to do these things properly.
It will definitely involve some higher value shareholders.

Yeah, we just need to be patient for the board to be formed. Bitcoin and Bitcoin securities move at light speed compared to traditional markets, but humans can only work so fast! Ken must be completely swamped with the NRE being met, forming a board, tendering shares, advertising for VMC, getting avalon boards ready, etc. These clowns / ASICMINER fanboys over on the BTC-TC probably think he is just busy planning his million dollar escape: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=125629.msg2776195#msg2776195. Please keep scams on BitFunder. <-- He is replying to someone asking for a mod to approve ActiveMining

To be fair, Ken has made quite a number of mistakes and his board persona is poor. I understand people having issues over ActiveMiner. I've spoken to him more in person and he's quite different as others have said. The reason I called for a board was precisely to deal with these concerns and deal with ActiveMiner's image problem (which isn't alone in Bitcoin - see the S.MG thread for something I'm far more dubious about). If they do then it's good for everyone and will free Ken up to get on with the important stuff.
