Unfortunately I did my transfer yesterday afternoon, which apparently means that I won't get the dividend.  Sad And I have a decent amount of shares, so the dividend isn't trivial. I feel like this information really should have been communicated better. I don't think it is fair that shareholders do not receive their dividend payments from transferring over their shares. Even in limbo, the shares have value. Ken or the 'unlimboed' shareholders should not pocket the dividends from the people that are trying to transfer shares. I'm usually not much of a complainer but this is frustrating to me. My btc is being used for the company, I should receive the benefit from the investment I made.

You are taken care of.

I know we've PM'd a bit, Ken, but when do you think you'll get to pushing my shares back to my account?

Everyone should be fixed now, starting to work on the dividends.

PM me if your shares are not fixed and you tendered before 19:00 UTC today.

I have a large quantity on BTC-TC.   Do i need to be moving these to bitfunder?  Last I heard I just need to sit tight and they will be automatically converted.  Is this still the case?

Thanks.

Still the case, Ken is still working on the btc tc offering, once its accepted Burnside will convert all AMC to ActM automatically Smiley

I am guessing things like this: http://thegenesisblock.com/latest-shipment-of-avalon-asics-could-increase-network-hashrate-by-500/ will give a mighty hit to the future dividend from mining in ActiveMining?
On other hand, it shows the big interest in buying ASIC's from companies that can deliver.
I'm crossing my fingers in belief that Ken is leading one such company.

This will affect ASICminer the most; their divs will go down the drain by a lot. PMBs and TAT.VIRTUALMINE will fall through the floor.  AM Hashes are paid for at this point and the amount it will increase outpaces the total hash % increase.

Increases in difficulty affect all mining the same, don't be inane. The difference is that anything mining already, is taking advantage of lower difficulty; anything paid for that is not mining yet, is losing pure equity.

By the time AMC miners are live, there's no telling how much their hashes will actually be able to profit. Investors should run some models for worst-case scenarios.

The fact of the matter is, that ASICminer is not receiving any Avalon chips - those chips are going elsewhere. ASICminer are going to have to increase their current hash rate by a large % to keep their current global hash % (this costs money, which in turn affect dividends). ActiveMining is adding hashing power that is already paid for. ActiveMining profits will go up. ASICminer profits will go down.

That's rich. So when ASICMINER can and will increase hashing to keep up, they lose money, but when ActiveMining sits idly by and watches all this, their profits somehow go up?

mmhmm...

I never said anything about losing money, profits will decrease. The global hash rate is going up, there is no denying this. ASICminer will have to spend a greater percentage of their revenue on increasing their hashing power to keep their current global hash rate percentage. Unless when the Avalons start booting up next month, ASICminer has Hashing hardware already paid for  and ready to offset the global hash rate increase.

ActiveMiner on the other hand, has chips/cases/PSUs paid for. So come August we will have already paid for and over compensated for the global hash rate increase and will be making more dividends than what were making the previous month.

Definitely this. The dividend was more % than ASICMINER by almost double (0.48% vs 0.87%). I would love to see the accounting for this and where the money came from.
